Job Summary

• Join Global Markets team in senior FIC Fundamental Sales role. Suited to a candidate with at least 10 years’ experience in SA markets, either in a Sales or Research role. Will need to have the relevant markets relationship. A CFA designation would be preferable.

Job Description

Key roles will include:

Client coverage

• Marketing of our FIC research views via regular engagement with Absolute, Balanced and FIC Portfolio Managers buyside firms
• Cross asset ideas generation with the Equities Team on stocks
• Hosting clients events covering National Treasury, SARB and political engagements Thought leadership generation
• Hosting relevant conferences

Desk Coverage

• Client feedback to Sales and Structured Trading
• Weekly meetings with FIC trading to discuss macro and market views
• Intraday comments on market news and events including politics
• Generate data on client positioning
• Collaboration with Coverage Bankers and Syndicate on opportunities round NBFI clientsProvide feedback on macro research client meetings where possible

Education

• Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required)
