Farm Manager-Livestock at Agricultural Research Council

• Manage livestock and farms
• Manage subordinates
• Maintain equipment and infrastructure
• Utilize available assets and technologies for research and income generation
• Train farm staff and clients on animal production
• Coordinate sale of livestock
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare and ethics
• Compile and submit overtime and weekend duty claims and leave for subordinates
• Compile information on animals as well as manage, update and process data using available software and tools.
• Perform financial management in line with PFMA
• Ensure compliance with OHSA regulations
• Administer animals' records and data
• Conduct stock take, issue stock and ensure monthly reconciliation of stock
• Ensure safety of all animals, facilities and infrastructure and report transgressions to Security department.

Requirements

• National Diploma in Animal Production / Agricultural Management / Animal Health
• Advanced Diploma will be an added advantage
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in farm management (Livestock)
