    Export Sales Manager - Fruit

    Main Purpose

    Plans, coordinates, and controls a designated export market of a division with the emphasis on profitability. Sets and negotiates prices in this market. Services existing accounts and ensures that delivery dates are met.

    Accountabilities

    • Strategic sales by product to ensure optimum profitability
    • Efficient management and knowledge of international markets, resulting in best service to customers
    • Sound execution of sales plans
    • Determine feasibility of new markets by product
    • Assessment by customer to maximise growth with highest potential and most profitable customers
    • Negotiate and manage trading terms, promotions and price
    • Select & manage key account/ 3rd party/ distributors
    • Manage export logistics incl. transport, insurance & shipping
    • Great repertoire with producers to assist with procurement

    Qualifications/Requirements

    Key skills / Requirements

    • Relevant Degree/Diploma
    • Proven International Sales experience in Dried or Fresh Fruit
    • Sound business acumen and financial controls
    • Management & Leadership courses
    • Well travelled
    • Fruit knowledge will be an advantage
    • Logistics experience
