Discharge Supervisor at Sea Harvest Corporation (Pty) Ltd

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of workers engaged in off-loading fish product.
• Ensure all operations are conducted safely & efficiently
• Inspect equipment & cargo handling operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Train new employees the discharge procedure and safety regulations awareness 
• Monitor and maintain records of cargo, ensuring accuracy & timely reporting 
• Address and resolve any issues that may arise during discharge operations
• Communicate effectively with team members, other departments, and management
• Implement and enforce company policies & procedures

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a foreman or similar supervisory role in discharge operations
• Strong knowledge of cargo handling & discharge procedures
• Strong knowledge of vessel stability
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Working experience of at least 10 years in the marine industry
• Medically fit to work, sober habits and no criminal recorda
