what experience we’re looking for?

• Diploma or University Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• 3+ years’ experience in:

  • Data warehouse technical architecture, infrastructure components, ETL and analytical tools.

  • ETL processes, data warehouse modelling

  • Experience in cloud data warehousing

  • Integrating with BI Reporting Tools

  • MS SQL Server

  • Normalised and denormalised database design

  • Design and implementation of objects within the data warehouse environment

a day in your life?

• Building large scale databases

• Data modelling (Data Vault 2.0 and Star Schema), data management, ETL and BI

• Perform ongoing monitoring, automation and refinement of BI solutions.

• Work with BI Management to identify and resolve data related issues.

• Work with business departmental teams to help them define and document business requirements for new metrics and reports.

• Provide analysis and issue resolution on business reported concerns.

• Participate in design to influence delivery of dashboards and various self-service business intelligence solutions.

• Contributes to the designs and plans for the integration for all data warehouse technical components.

• Contributes to the design, automation, and acquisition, transformation and data loading processes in a high volume, high availability data warehouse environment

• Manages the automation and operations of the data warehousing loading process

• Contributes to the design of the data warehouse architecture

• Provides production support to solve immediate problems and keeps databases in production

• Analyses information requirements of customers and supports teams and contributes to the design of the best technical solutions

• Collaborates with business and technical partners to understand and evaluate their needs for data from the data warehouse.

• Technical implementation of the data warehouse

• Participates in testing of the data design, tool design, data extracts

• Optimisation, support and maintenance of the data warehouse environment
