We are recruiting for a Chief Information Officer on a 5-year fixed term contract

Purpose of the job

• To provide vision and strategic leadership for developing and implementing a digital strategy, together with its supporting information technology initiatives.
• To provide expert technical ICT advice and skills to Council and the Executive Committee, as well as the organisation as a whole.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Master’s degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or Information Systems or an IT-related MBA;
• Ten (10) years of management experience in Information Technology, of which at least five (5) years should be at Senior Managerial, or Executive level;
• Understanding and knowledge of corporate governance principles and legislation;
• In-depth practical knowledge and understanding of the management of information systems and the IT environment;
• Knowledge and understanding of applicable legislation, regulations, standards and policy requirements that drive the ICT sphere;
• Experience gained in the regulatory environment and/or broad ICT sector will be an Advantage;
• Deep expertise and proven track record in networks, infrastructure, cloud and cyber security monitoring tools and managing technical teams
