    Cash Book Team Lead

    Overall Purpose of the Job:

    Lead and co-ordinate the banking team and function

    Responsibilities:

    Output 1 - Co-ordinate cashbook team:

    • Set weekly tasks for team and monitor timely and accurate execution thereof
    • Monitor productivity and working hours of team Approve controllers leave around operational requirements
    • Review performance of team throughout year and identify training or other development needs
    • Monitor tools of trade and assist with call logging (e.g. for resolution of SAGE issues)

    Output 2 – Maintain Standard Operating procedures:

    • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures as and when needed, at least annually
    • Ensure team's task execution is aligned with the Standard Operating Procedures

    Output 3 - Complete and accurate bank processing for all ADvTECH bank accounts:

    • Cashbook processing
    • Daily review of cashbooks processed

    Unallocated accounts

    • Provide guidance to team on resolution on unallocated transactions
    • Approve relevant correction journals
    • Consolidate weekly lists of unidentified transactions and follow up with bank on details
    • Clear foreign payments not processed

    SMS communication

    • Consolidate and send SMS communications via Everlytic weekly

    Output 4 - Accurate reconciliations for ADvTECH bank accounts:

    • Review completeness and accuracy of bank reconciliations and supporting documentation
    • Monitor status of reconciling items
    • Review unallocated account reconciliations

    Output 5 - Timely query resolution within 2-day period:

    • Monitor status of Fresh Service queries
    • Provide guidance on ad hoc queries from Brands
    • Provide guidance and co-ordinate information required from controllers by internal and external auditors

     Output 6 - Timely execution of ad-hoc projects:

    • Provide guidance and coordinate information or tasks required by controllers on ad hoc projects, e.g D365 migration

    Output 7 - Accurate and complete monthly operational reporting:

    • Provide required input into monthly Operational reporting

    Education

    Minimum:

    • Grade 12 with a bookkeeping qualification

    Experience:

    • 3-5 years Financial Accountant/ bookkeeper/ cashbook controller
