Purpose Statement

• To enable the business to manage Credit risk through tracking Credit Granting Policy and by analysing credit data and operational intelligence to derive effective and useable management insight.
• To design and propose tactical credit granting policy solutions.

Experience
Minimum:

• Minimum experience is dependent on the qualification of the candidate/incumbent
• Relevant undergrad degree: 2 years’ experience in a banking, auditing, retail or credit granting environment.
• Relevant Honours degree: 1 year experience in a banking, auditing, retail or credit granting environment.

Ideal:

• Capitec Bank Experience

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Statistics

Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)

• Masters Degree in Finance or Statistics

Knowledge
Minimum:

• Retail credit lifecycle
• Retail credit market
• Retail credit IT systems architecture
• Retail credit profit models including pricing and provisioning
• National Credit Act (NCA)
• Protection of Personal Information Act (POPI)
• Credit affordability assessment regulations
• Understanding of technical issues and the impact these may have on the design and delivery of business solutions
• How to investigate, analyse, design and deliver business solutions

• Reporting and dashboard software (ex. PowerBI)
• Database querying software (ex. SQL)
