Job Advert Summary    

• We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Poultry Breeder Farm Operations Manager to join our Agri team. As the Operations Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of our poultry breeder farm operation and meeting set out KPI’s. 

Minimum Requirements    

• Proven experience in poultry breeding farm management, with a minimum of 10 years in a managerial role.
• A degree in a related field would be greatly beneficial
• Strong knowledge of poultry breeding techniques, genetics, and industry best practices.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with biosecurity protocols and animal welfare standards

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Farm Management: Oversee daily operations, ensuring all aspects of the poultry breeder farm are efficiently managed and that all the flocks reach KPI’s in a cost effective manner
• Animal Welfare: Ensure the health, well-being, and proper care is exercised.
• Staff Leadership: Manage and lead a team of farm staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
• Reports: Implement and monitor breeding programs, maintaining accurate records and genetic data.
• Biosecurity: Implement and enforce strict biosecurity measures to prevent disease outbreaks.
• Facility Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance of farm infrastructure and equipment.
• Budget Management: Manage the farm's budget, controlling expenses and optimizing resource allocation.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
