Weekly activities include:

• Creating Afrikaans resources for multiple grades and subjects to support teaching and learning.
• Aligning keywords with CAPS categories using your teacher's knowledge and research skills.
• Producing resources in response to customer needs and current teaching methodologies.
• Participating in team discussions to generate new ideas.
• Communicating effectively with the GM team, editors, designers, and illustrators.
• Managing administrative tasks associated with the role.
• Translating existing English resources into Afrikaans,
• Our ideal candidate is passionate about contributing to the education community, possesses good CAPS knowledge, and is a creative thinker willing to explore unfamiliar learning areas. 

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

• Holds primary qualified teacher status (PGCE, B.Ed, or equivalent degree).
• Has 3 years of full classroom teaching experience.
• Excels in communication within a close-knit team.
• Demonstrates detailed and up-to-date knowledge of CAPS.
• Can confidently work across different IT platforms.
• Understands the unique pressures and educational trends in the South African teaching community.
• Has a drive for continuous professional development.
• Has a reliable internet connection and necessary IT equipment for remote work.
• Is equipped with solar or inverter power for uninterrupted work during load-shedding.
• You will collaborate with Liesel Melladay (Teacher Team Leader), the Growth Marketing team, the South African team of qualified teachers, and our in-house design and illustration teams.
