Administrator - Banking/Finance at MTN

JOB DESCRIPTION

Context:

Working in a fast - Paced demanding environment with very high expectations to meet MTNSA internal stakeholders and suppliers’ requirements of timeouspayments and resolution of queries. The incumbent is expectedto deliver World Class service to all MTNSA internal stakeholders, Finance Operations Management team and suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Performance Areas:

• Timeous processing of all payment transactions to the correctrevenue channels
• Preparationof accurate and complete Bank recons with particular focuson:
  • Accurate bank reconciliations (supported by bank statements and ERP ledger amounts and reconciling items)
  • Investigation and resolution of reconciling items
  • Timelinessof completion of reconciliations (shouldbe within deadlines)
  • Completenessand accuracy of supporting documentation.
  • Investigation and resolution of long outstanding reconciling items
• Attend to telephonic refund requests
• Reconcileaccounts before refunding
• Load information related to refunds onto the electronic system
• Assist and supportthe work performed by others
• Escalate any problemsand risk identified to line manager/ banking managerand assist in timeous resolution
• Maintain accurate recordsof all transactions in the Refundssection of Financeand Banking

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

• Matriculation (Finance Qualification Advantageous) 
• Experience and required skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years’experience in Banking operational environment and with experience in working with others
  • Experience workingin a large, demand and high-pressured environment
  • Transaction processing
  • Accounting systemsexperience, with Oracle experience advantageous
