What you will be doing

• Working safely, and regarding the safety of others, including complying with all OH&S policies and procedures and actively working to improve safety in the workplace;
• Assisting with preparation of monthly financial reports for the South African business unit within agreed timeframe;
• Assisting with business unit financial activities and ensuring transactions are in accordance with local statutory requirements and government legislation;
• Assisting with South African tax issues to ensure compliance by GroundProbe South Africa;
• Assisting with the preparation of statutory accounts and tax returns;
• Administration and preparation of international cash transfers and payments
• Assisting with the preparation of budget for GPSA;
• Processing all supplier invoices including correct coding in finance system as well as reconciliation of supplier accounts;
• Assisting with month end reports to be provided for Business Review meeting;
• Assisting with fixed asset stocktaking and processing of fixed asset transactions;
• Assisting with month end processes, including accruals, prepayments, depreciation;
• Performing monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and assisting in the accounts receivable function including invoicing, collection of outstanding invoices and administration thereof;

What you will bring

• Tertiary degree in Accounting/Commerce;
• 3 - 5 years in an accounting role;
• TAX & VAT experience;
• Ability to work in a team and represent GroundProbe in a positive and professional manner
• Be able to work-independently and work under pressure
