• Old Mutual Wealth Product Development is seeking a suitably qualified individual to fulfil the role of a Senior Actuarial Specialist temporarily. The role is required for 6 months in a part-time to full-time capacity. In this role you will be involved in the development and ongoing maintenance of Old Mutual Wealth’s range of retail investment platform products for the high income and high net worth market.
• Your focus will be on the maintenance and implementation of our guaranteed products as well as tax support and development of products. In this role you will work in a team of high calibre professionals, interacting with Old Mutual Wealth’s products and working with a broad range of business stakeholders in a fast-paced, innovative and challenging environment.

The core responsibilities will include:

• Development, maintenance and enhancement of OM Wealth single premium investment platform products with the focus on guaranteed products and tax requirements
• Ensure products comply with tax requirements, including the provision of correct tax information where required
• Owning, running with and implementing projects to enhance and develop offerings
• Communicating with stakeholders in the wider OM group to achieve buy-in for, and ensure awareness of, new product initiatives
• Provide technical oversight and support, for tax and guaranteed products in particular, to marketing, proposition, finance and servicing areas
• Assist with financial modelling
• An individual who has strong analytical and technical skills, good communication skills, who is innovative and have the ability to interact effectively with people are invited to apply for this role. • If you have completed at least 11 actuarial exams with at least four years of actuarial experience, we look forward to receiving your application. A CFA or CFP qualification, knowledge and experience of the retail investment market, good knowledge of legislative and tax aspects of the investment product environment and/or good knowledge of financial planning and retail product distribution environment will be a distinct advantage.
