    Global Aviation Finance Manager

    Job Description

    • The Global Finance Manager Aviation will direct the financial operation; information systems, credit and collection function of the organization. He will work closely with the Group Management in monitoring, analyzing, and improving the operating results of the company. The Global Finance Manager Aviation will:
    • Serve as a business partner to the management team on the financial and administrative processes, with the goal of continuously developing and improving performance in the different countries.
    • Continually evaluate best industry practices in comparison to internal systems and needed resources, with an eye toward both future needs and budget realities.
    • Overall responsibilities for the accounting, financial reporting, financial planning, forecasting, and cash management and for the planning, development and implementation of effective accounting policies and procedures and internal controls systems.
    • Overall financial and administrative management responsibility, including the review and approval of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting material and metrics to the management team.
    • Ensure the accounting practices are in compliance with all relevant accounting standards and the company’s values and practices.
    • Major objective is to build a level of sophistication that enables continued innovation as the organization continues its growth, support increasingly complex demands, and yet remain true to the organization’s culture.
    • Oversee general and cost accounting, budgeting, financial forecasting and cash flow and will oversee coordination of audit activities.
    • Oversee the reporting of accurate, timely, and meaningful data and analysis which management and the parent company can understand and rely upon to analyze to grow the business.
    • Oversee the credit and collection process with the goal of reducing receivable write-offs and reducing receivable days outstanding.
    • Provide financial leadership to drive better business results and operating efficiencies.
    • Utilize all available data to analyze business issues and make recommendations to management.
    • Approve, monitor and control operating and capital spending.
    • Monitor and accurately value inventory with the objective of increasing inventory turns.
    • Structure and negotiate financing terms and maintain excellent banking relations, which support current and future borrowing requirements.
    • Evaluate potential acquisitions and assist in the due diligence, negotiation and integration processes.
    • Be a key resource in responding to questions and information requests from all levels
    • The role will be based in Johannesburg – South Africa with around 20% travel.
