    Merck is looking to hirean HR Business Partner to lead the implementation, design, development and execution of the Merck globalHuman Resources Strategy forthe South andEast Africa Region. The role is responsible for the enablement of the end to end HR Value chain in order to drive a high-performance culture and build an engaged work force within the region.

    • Knowledge managment- Effective application of HR information managment systems to best support business outcomes.
    • Understands operating principles with in Governance and Risk-ensuring company reputation is protected and risk is mitigated.

    Education & Languages

    Typically requires a graduate degree (or equivalent) that provides knowledge of theories, principles and concepts within HR disciplines.

    Experience

    • At least 8 years HR experience with a combination of HR Operations and HR Generalist roles
    • Experience of HR Business Partnering at GM and Executive level
    • Broad HR knowledge: Talent, HR Operations, Reward, Recruitment
    • Previousresponsibility for African countries outside of South Africa, ideally Kenya
    • Exposure to complex matrix/multiple business unit environments
    • Ideally experience within multinational consumer goods and/or pharmaceutical industries
