The base location for this role is Vodacom, Midrand

The role of the Senior Specialist: Pricing and Commercial is to support the Consumer Business Unit (CBU) teams in the with respect to Prepaid and Postpaid products, as well as with pricing analysis, reviews, framework, strategy and high level financial models. Further, to provide ad hoc reporting as required to support the commercial operations of the department.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Key accountabilities and decision ownership
• Specialist pricing and operations support to CBU teams
• Derive and communicate insights obtained from reporting
• Support the various contract CBU teams with pricing related activities
• Perform high level financial modelling
• Review performance trends and identify opportunities on an on-going basis
• Determine and review price elasticity for products and services
• Define pricing frameworks and strategies based on supply & demand, costing, regulatory and competition factors
• Provide valuable pricing insights and analysis
• Provide pricing input to detailed financial models and budget/forecasting processes

Key performance indicators

• Ad-hoc information delivery and analysis - Assist with market sizing information; Provide information for financial planning purposes & Ad-hoc management requests for product analytics.
• Creating new pricing options and recommendations based on how price is performing for a particular product.
• Providing pricing support for the product team for new propositions, in line with pricing framework.
• The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have
• Relevant B.Sc Mathematics, Commerce, Statistics, Econometrics or relevant degree is essential

Job Experience

• 5 years working experience in Commercial and/or Finance - essential.

• Understanding of pricing strategies and principles - essential.
• Mobile communication experience an advantage
