Corporate Services – Financial Management has a position available for a Group Financial Accountant who will be based in Bellville.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The group financial accountant will provide assistance in the financial management and statutory reporting function of the Santam group. Various financial data analysis and ad-hoc management information support will be required on a monthly basis. This function encompasses both externally directed financial reporting to shareholders and the Board as well as internally focussed reporting with regards to management reports. The objective will be the production of timeous and accurate management reports, statutory financial statements and reports on the overall consolidated financial results for the Santam Group of Companies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• CA (SA)
• Minimum 3 years financial services experience at a senior level; experience in the insurance industry on a senior level would be highly recommended
• Extensive financial accounting experience in complex technical environments, including group reporting experience
• Experience in financial management reporting

• Insurance Act, Companies Act

• Knowledge of and experience with Hyperion Financial Management would be highly recommended
