    Team Leader: Claims Motor & Non Motor

    Job Description

    Detailed Description

    • Plan for, implement and manage the Claims Strategic Plan within designated area
    • Reduce / maintain claimown damage claims costs
    • Act as technical advisor by educating brokers, client and staff about claims processes and procedures.
    • Ensure that data quality is controlled.
    • Effectively communicate and give feedback to clients, staff, call centre and staff about claims processes and procedures.
    • Assist in relevant ad-hoc tasks.
    • Analyse query and complaints trends and suggest solutions
    • Prepare periodic reports and presentations on project progress, issues and progress against timeline reports / updates.
    • Monthly audits and work in progress checks
    • Minimise fraud
    • Build and maintain relationships with external and internal stakeholders
    • Monitor and review productivity targets and reports generated
    • Monitor motor assessments productivity
    • Ensure that Procurement Directives are followed
    • Ensure that M&F vehicle is well-positioned at all times
    • Manage effective customer service and relations to drive service excellence
    • Maintain service, quality and desired outputs within a specific functional process through ensuring compliance to tactical policies, procedures and standards.
    • Resolve escalated customer queries and complaints and provide feedback to customers on matters resolved.
    • Develop work routines in line with operational plans / schedules in order to manage achievement of service delivery goals
    • Measure and monitor service delivery compliance of team.
    • Share knowledge on, and participate in the creation of new standards, control systems and procedures to maintain service delivery.
    • Maintain people practices in line with organisational guidelines, policies, culture and values
    • Manage effective cost control in the core processes and ensure adherence to financial and corporate policies and procedures
    • Comply with governance controls to reduce risks.
    • Initiate change and continuous improvement in work processes, procedures and schedules

    Job Requirements

    Qualification & Experience

    • Matric
    • COP or higher insurance qualification or studying towards same
    • Audatex certificate
    • 3 years relevant claims experience
    • People management experience an advantage.
    • Leadership role in investigations
    • 3 years technical background (motor engineering or panel beating) experience
