Role description

To execute and develop Private Label packaging from concept design creation, packaging artwork rollout and final printed packaging to meet customer needs and build Private Label brands.

JOB OBJECTIVES:

• Conceptual Design
• Conceptualise and create initial packaging design concepts.
• Research new and existing packaging designs and concepts and understand benchmarks prior to initiating each concept.
• Packaging Brief Execution
• Complete packaging briefs from concept to finished art.
• Liaise with Packaging Project Managers on a continuous basis during design process for creative input and guidance.
• Present initial and final designs to relevant Packaging Project Manager and or Private Label Manager in a timely manner.
• Liaise with external printing service provider with regards to printing process and achieving desired print quality for every project.
• Prepare timely final art (FA) for final printing process for all projects.
• Provide bi-weekly status updates and prioritise projects for Packaging Projects Managers.
• Maintain archive of all final art (FA) and approved concepts for each project.
• Conceptual Presentations
• Prepare and complete professional packaging design concept presentations, packaging artwork mock ups and 3D renders for all packaging design concept approval meetings for the Packaging Projects Managers and/ Private Label Manager in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Diploma in Graphic Design (3 years)

Experience:

• Graphic Design (2 years)
• Packaging Design (2-5years)
• Final Art / Desk Top Publishing (2-5 years)
