    Group HR Manager

    Job description

    Job Summary:

    To develop and deliver people management strategies at Holdings Business Unit that supports the overall strategic aims and objectives of the organisation. To function at both a strategic and operational level when recommending appropriate human resources management solutions and providing a customer-focused HR services. To ensure effective management of all HR & IR practices within the organisation.

    HR Strategy & Business Plan:

    • Drive the adoption of best-in-class Human resources practices by line management;
    • Support line management in the implementation of HR strategy;
    • In conjunction with line management, develop and revise an HR strategy that positions the business for growth.

    Design & Development:

    • Encourage change management by ensuring the business structure is conducive to flexible growth, development of the required culture in respect of the Group’s vision and mission;
    • Facilitate Performance and Talent Management through ensuring Best Practice sharing regarding job evaluation and grading, development interventions, job profiling, team and organizational effectiveness;
    • Ensure all managers are equipped with the required expertise to manage Performance Management processes & systems effectively which are linked to the Group goals and objectives;
    • Ensure effective and efficient recruitment practices;
    • Monitoring compliance to HR policies and procedures, effecting corrective action as applicable to the business and legislation.

    Employment Equity Implementation:

    • Support line managers in implementing the equity and transformation strategy;
    • Facilitate support and correct implementation of the Employment Equity Plan, monitoring and reporting of the required statistical information to Department of Labour and organisation.
    • Potential conflict is resolved according to IR procedures;
    • Disciplinary action is taken according to our disciplinary code.

    HR Administration:

    • Management of business unit budget within parameters including:
    • Ensuring remuneration, benefits structures, annual increases, incentives structures are in line with business unit / group budgets and structures , policies are executed efficiently and according to legal and statutory requirements;
    • Monitoring of head count and related costs;
    • Monitoring of recruitment costs;
    • Ensure maintenance of data and record systems.

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

    • B degree in Human Resource Management or relevant qualification
    • Minimum 5 years of proven HR Management experience
    • Sound knowledge of HR practices and an understanding of SA legislative context
    • Sound knowledge and application of IR practices, including representation at CCMA up to and including arbitration.
    • Computer proficiency in all Microsoft packages including basic knowledge of payroll systems.
    • Valid drivers license and own car essential
