Job description
Buckman Laboratories (Pty) Ltd is looking for a SMART Products Industry Sales Specialist. This is a fast-paced but friendly environment that will suit an organized person with a flair for innovation in the electronics field and a great eye for detail.
This position will provide sensor/SMART product sales and technical leadership to Sales and Field Sensor Specialists to ensure that customer needs are identified and met. Over and above that, the SMART Products Industry Specialists will provide SMART/digital product knowledge and expertise that supports Buckman’s sales strategy of driving growth of SMART products, growing customer relationships and identifying new customer opportunities, in line with the new Industry 4.0 initiative.
This position requires working globally, regionally and cross-functionally (with sales, Onsite data management, SMART Product Development, Field Sensor Specialists) to deliver on sales and customer support objectives, with a high degree of commitment to meeting customer needs. This is a home office based position but will require you to travel regionally and globally for approximately 50% of your available time.
The ideal candidate for the SMART Products Industry Sales Specialist role will demonstrate leadership in driving sales, communicating business goals, programs, and processes. In this role, the incumbent will utilize their experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and affect short-term and some long-term business goals. This position requires an innovative, technical savvy, proactive, problem solver with a record of contributing to the systematic and profitable operation of heavy industry sites.

Qualifications and Experience:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in technical field (computer science, electronic engineering) or equivalent experience.
Experience
3 - 5 years sales and technical experience with Sensors, SMART products and / or digital applications.
