Job description
Our Client, a JSE listed and one of the leading Food & Beverage companies with a growing footprint in Africa is urgently looking for a seasoned Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) expert to drive risk management, technical food safety, occupational health and safety and quality compliance nationally across their division from a strategic level to ensure that it maintains a relevant certification, drives continuous improvement and meets legislative, regulatory and performance standards in the market place.
You will manage supplier quality assurance to ensure the attainment of the most progressive safety, health and quality standards in the marketplace as well as drive compliance with group standards and to enhance the group framework as appropriate. Your stake-holder and cross-functional engagement experience will be required when liaising with executives and regional management teams to co-create the national SHEQ strategy. Your acquired people management skills will come in handy when coaching and mentoring staff as well as managing and delivering on career development and succession plans to enable the development of a future generation of leaders.
A Degree in Quality, Safety, Food Technology or equivalent coupled with at 7 to 10 years SHEQ experience in a FMCG environment is required, at least 3 years should be in a management role. Exciting career growth potential for motivated employees!
