    Boilermaker

        
    Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Boilermaker in the Maintenance department. The purpose of the position is to construct, assemble, maintain, and repair mechanical components in the processing plant. The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Foreman.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent
    • Qualified Boilermaker Red Seal Certificate
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience (After Qualification)
    • Must be willing to work shifts and overtime.
    • Must be medically fit and able to work at heights.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • The successful candidate must be competent in:
    • Plant maintenance (FMCG)
    • Developing, installation and commissioning of steel structures
    • Development/installation of any spouts, Chutes, square to round etc.
    • Compliance to DMS maintenance system
    • Install, service calibrate and repair all mechanical apparatus.
    • Do mechanical fault finding.
    • Perform routine inspections on all equipment and report on non-conformances.
    • Perform all scheduled tasks on mechanical apparatus.
    • Identify value adding projects.
    • Be an effective member of a project team.
    • Make safe and communicate any mechanical risks to manager.
    • Effectively utilize all required PPE
    • Report on non-conformance to the OSH Act
    • Assist in drafting standard operating procedures.
    • Supervise and monitor mechanical apprentices.
    • Communicate training needs to manager.
    • Maintain all mechanical drawings.
    • Safe keep/maintain machine manuals and apparatus lists.
    • Do accurate and comprehensive feedback on completed job cards.

    Scale Technician

    Job Description
    Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Scale Technician in the Maintenance department. The purpose of the position is to repair, calibrate and maintain scales in order to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the scales in the production process. The ideal candidate will report to the Maintenance Coordinator.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12/N3 
    • Electrician trade qualification 
    • At least 3 years post qualification experience 
    • Experience working in the FMCG industry, preferably within a further processing plant.
    • HACCP knowledge 
    • Good organization skills
    • Good planning and ability to work independently.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Adjust functional parts of scales and control instruments.
    • Align and balance scales according to product specification.
    • Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components of scales
    • Diagnose scale problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogues as necessary.
    • Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
    • Inspect, operate, and test scales to diagnose machine malfunctions.
    • Maintain and repair scales.
    • Perform routine preventive maintenance.
    • Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools and reassemble
    • Estimate repair costs.
    • Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
    • Record maintenance and repair work performed
    • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices
    • Other relevant electrical duties assigned.

    Refrigeration Plant Operator

    Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Refrigeration Plant operator in the production department. The purpose of the position is to operate the Ammonia refrigeration plant in the production department, to maintain the equipment according to the suppliers’ specifications and adhere to HACCP and OHSACT standards. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • 2-3 years’ experience in Ammonia refrigeration.
    • N2 mechanical or electrical engineering.
    • Category A or B refrigeration certified.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Maintain and repair Ammonia refrigeration plants.
    • Maintain and repair cold rooms.
    • Drive HACCP together with Refrigeration Technician.
    • Do machine start-up check lists.
    • Ensure safety equipment are in good and functional condition.
    • Adhere to health and safety policies on site.
    • Ensure PPE adherence is followed.

    Refrigeration Technician

    Supreme Processing has an opportunity available for a Refrigeration Technician in the Maintenance department. The purpose of the position is to ensure the Processing Plant’s Ammonia Refrigeration Plant always runs efficiently.  The ideal candidate will be expected to have had 3 years work experience in a FMCG environment. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • N3 qualification
    • Valid Refrigeration Trade Test (more than 5 years qualified)
    • Authorised Refrigeration Practitioner Cat B Ammonia
    • 3-4 years relevant experience
    • Willing to work flexible hours, overtime, weekends and night shifts.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Skilled maintenance, installations, and repair in the Ammonia Plantroom
    • Responsible for all refrigeration, chill water and air issues at site
    • Attend to Refrigeration break downs
    • Preventative maintenance planning of department
    • Leading subordinates (assistants) on new projects
    • Ensure General housekeeping is done.
    • Evaluate equipment performance
    • Drive HACCP together with foreman
    • Daily/weekly inspections in designated area’s
    • Control the use of overtime and Week-end planning for overtime
    • Do machine start-up checklists
    • Do preventative maintenance schedules
    • Attend to machine breakdowns
    • Obtain quotations for work required and spares needed

    Report and Analytics Developer (BI)

    As an integral member of our Business Analysis team, the Business Intelligence (BI) Report and Analytics Developer is responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of mission-critical Business Intelligence (BI) reports that utilize the underlying data store(s)/ data warehouse(s) / data mart(s) by performing all ETL related functions. Working with various stakeholders and cross-functional teams, to manage and organize data for efficient analysis.

    Using your skills and experience as a BI Report Developer, you will then use those requirements to design, develop, test, implement and provide training, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of those reports and dashboards.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • 2+ years of experience as a report developer or business analyst role.
    • Experience working in Microsoft SQL server, including Stored procedures, SQL expressions and query optimization/tuning.
    • Strong in Microsoft (SSRS, SSIS), and knowledge in ODBC and other data analysis programs.
    • Qlikview/Qliksense dashboard development, Deployment and Administration.
    • Analytical skills that allow for the development of data-driven reports.

    • Transition developed reports and dashboards to the Operations & Support team.

    • Contribute to ensuring data security and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., data privacy laws). Assist in implementing access controls, managing user permissions, and monitoring data usage to maintain data integrity and protect sensitive information.
    • Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members (Support Team).
    • Provide training and assistance to users for generation of operational and ad hoc reports.
    • Must be able to perform duties with moderate to low supervision.
    • The position monitors the daily administration of the reporting tools and technologies required to support operational reporting needs.
    • This position takes input from the reporting and analytics managing in regard to the creation and deployment of reporting solutions that align with business needs and processes.
