    Senior Functional Developer

    This role entails development of system interfaces to and from the Sage product with 3rd party applications, generate reports, and working towards deadlines.

    • T-SQL Querying and Stored Procedures
    • C# Application support and development
    • Cloud Computing
    • Testing and implementing reports and applications on-site at customers
    • Leading internal colleagues or business partners to complete project milestones
    • Project and Time Management
    • VBA knowledge from legacy solutions
    • General administration
    • Monthly and Yearly planning
    • Monthly and yearly reports

    The role creates bespoke solutions to ensure timely and accurate requests, as well as support on existing solutions.
    Based in Pretoria, the successful candidate must be experienced in T-SQL, C# & Powershell, have good interpersonal skills and previous consulting experience.

    Key Responsibilities Key Accountabilities And Decision Ownership

    • Develop automated solutions to interface to and from the Sage systems
    • Flexible to complete work on-site during certain project phases
    • Package generic solutions
    • Generate Payroll & HR report
    • Effectively plan and document reporting and automation requirements
    • Develop, Test and implement solutions
    • Manage client expectations and meet deadlines
    • Working with team members
    • Support customers and consultants on existing solutions
    • Forecast and keep track of time utilized on solutions on a weekly basis
    • Communicate any deviations from a project
    • Resource Planning
    • Plan and manage own time effectively in order to achieve key areas of the position
    • Assist with development specifications and workshops
    • Above applies for Sage 300 People and Sage 300 Premier products.

    • Must have strong development and database querying skills (C#, SQL, Powershell)
    • Business Maturity
    • VBA knowledge (Advantage)
    • Sage 300 People & Premier database structure knowledge (Advantage)
    • Cloud programming & architecture knowledge (Advantage)

    Key Accounts Director

    • Define key accounts strategy for Sage, based on agreed criteria.
    • Recruit Key Account Managers to manage the key accounts as defined.
    • Responsible for the team sales quota.
    • Work collaboratively across LOBs, and ensure that CSMs are included in account planning.
    • Assist in closing Large EM and MM Deals and working with VP / Director on the Strategic EM / MM Deals.
    • Accurate forecasting weekly within the required set deadlines.
    • Aligning with the EM VP and MM Director as well as the Partner eco-system.
    • Develop and execute the Sage business strategies within the defined accounts and ensure high synergy between local and global strategies and objectives.
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales and marketing plan to exceed set target revenues.
    • Focus on near term revenue goals whilst also developing a focus on the long-term objectives, relationships and partnerships.
    • Strategic planning and implementation of business processes and procedures.
    • Supporting the marketing team in developing new marketing initiatives
    • To keep abreast of current trends, economic conditions and growth opportunities as well as monitor and advise Sage management of competitive activities within the defined account base.
    • Client relationship management within the defined accounts, as well as within the partner community supporting the account strategy.
    • Knowledge sharing and up skilling of the Sage colleagues.
    • Management of colleagues; strategic guidance, support and quarterly LEAD reviews.
    • Maintain sound corporate governance as per the SAGE group requirements.

    Qualifications And Experience

    • Suitable Tertiary qualification required
    • 7-10 years’ experience in a similar role and environment
