    Field Marketer - VCNC - Pinetown

    Job Description

    This position is required for the Pine Town Area

    A Field Marketer is responsible for driving brand awareness through on-site, face-to-face interaction; liaising between buyers and sellers, as they provide valuable information about products and services. They work closely with sales teams and marketing managers to promote lead generation and create upsell opportunities. The primary objective is to maximize profitability within his or her sales territory.

    Field Marketers are especially effective with long-term accounts, visiting clients on a recurring basis to perform maintenance, place replenishment orders, implement marketing strategies to ensure effective product promotion, or take any other initiative necessary to keep the client happy and drive revenue.

    A Field Marketer should be well updated on the various technological advancements and have the right kind of expertise to excel in communicating these.

    A Field Marketer should have a passion for marketing, ability to strike a chord with people, and understand the customers' needs. They should be updated with the latest trends happening in the telecommunications industry and should have a great business acumen. He/she should be target oriented and should be able to develop innovative sales and marketing strategies.

    Qualifications

    • Matric or NQF equivalent
    • 2 years’ experience in a sales role with a track record of exceeding revenue sales targets within the telecommunication/retail sector
    • 1 years’ experience in field services, retail sales or similar role may be beneficial
    • Vehicle less than 8 years’ old and must be in the name of the successful candidate. Vehicle must be fitted with a handsfree kit.
    • Proof of business insurance (with 30-day car hire option or has access to a reliable 2nd vehicle in line with company)
    • Valid Driver’s license

    Additional Information

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Meet weekly, monthly, and targets through successful implementation of sales and marketing strategies and tactics
    • Understand briefs and adjust sales techniques accordingly to meet stated outcomes.
    • Diary planning and call execution to ensure store base and required visits are executed on
    • Work proactively towards increasing the outlets overall TNPS scores
    • Encourage and assist outlets to access and utilize the online learning portal (Axonify)
    • Drive a minimum of 90% participation of Axonify across all chains and channels

    SALES:

    • Plan and execute marketing campaigns to generate sales and improve customer retention
    • Implement marketing strategies to increase product awareness, sales, and profits.
    • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within agreed timeframes
    • Coordinate sales efforts with marketing initiatives
    • Analyse the store’s potential, track sales and provide status reports where required
    • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
    • Utilise word-of-mouth marketing techniques to attract consumers
    • Work with sales team to schedule and conduct campaigns and other marketing activities
    • Establish a territory presence through networking

    MERCHANDISING:

    • Negotiate with retailers and other third-party partners on promotional display and merchandise placement
    • Promote business expansion opportunities to retailers through successful
    • implementation of marketing programs
    • Coordinate proactively with marketing teams for improve and/or development of marketing collaterals, website content, etc. to expand our marketing presence

      REPORTING:

    • Generate and analyse metric reports to measure the success of marketing initiatives and sales programs
    • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis.
    • Monitor competition and report on current marketplace information related to pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
    • Log attendance on specified reporting tool; checking in and out at the prescribed times
    • Attend meetings & trainings as directed to keep abreast of latest developments
    • Provide market intelligence and business insights as observed within the territory
    • Obtaining specific information about the clients' needs regarding business expansion, problems affecting their sales, detailed information on products and services offered by them, specific business practices like discount offers, seasonal sales, etc., previous advertising history, and other business practices followed

    • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships

    Senior Account Executive

    Job Description
    As a Senior Account Executive at MSL, you are a media relations expert, seamlessly managing media relationships and all interviews. You ensure the reporting process is slick – making sure your manager receives accurate, quality reports on time, and that clients receive regular, accurate coverage updates. You have good relationships with your clients and media, and frequently write quality, media-ready content beyond media pitches. In addition, you provide guidance to your team’s Intern/AA/AE (if applicable).

    Core capabilities

    • Media lists: Take responsibility for work with Intern/AA/AE (if applicable) to ensure media lists are regularly updated, inform the broader agency of media changes, compile tailored media lists per client content piece, and keep master client media lists updated.
    • Media relations: Display an excellent knowledge of the South African media landscape (and an interest in the broader African media landscape), develop solid media relationships, and own the effective running of your team’s entire media relations process. Pitching skills: Demonstrate an ability to effectively identify, write and pitch relevant story angles to targeted media, displaying creativity and an understanding of newsworthiness.
    • Writing: Regularly write basic media pitches, releases and content, beyond email communication. Research: Demonstrate effective research skills, and assimilation and presentation of information.
    • MSL Newsdesk: Participate in daily newsdesk/media meetings and write up relevant news and angles in email format to share with clients (with your AD’s/AM’s approval); take notes in Newsroom meeting if asked.
    • Project management skills: Assist AM/SAM with taking responsibility for specific projects from startto-finish.
    • Computer skills: Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (or other company-preferred applications), taking Marcel Classes to become an advanced user of these programmes.

    Agency operations

    Coverage: With Intern/AA/AE, take ownership of daily coverage tracking for reports and timeous client coverage updates.

    • Timesheets: Demonstrate effective time recording and reporting (daily, accurate data logged on Chase, as per Groupe deadlines).
