    Job Description

    Main Purpose of the Job

    • To support the internal communications team in ensuring that content on the digital displays in the Deloitte South Africa offices are designed and is broadcasting current and appropriate content without disruption as much as is possible.
    • To further support the communications team on campaigns; administration tasks; research required; financial management of invoices and publication management and the development of social media assets.

    Operational Effectiveness

    • Assisting in updating online communication platforms. This will include uploading of video content, pictures, content, etc.
    • Work closely with the team in supporting the execution of the departments KPIs
    • Providing communication support to the broader team in the form of updating databases, formatting documents and templates and record keeping. 
    • Assisting in providing support on video and social media content. 
    • Providing support on Public Relations, issuing press releases, maintaining PR database, issuing invites etc. 
    • Assisting with press enquiries.
    • Providing support in the production of publication management, from sourcing and confirming information to supporting the design element.
    • Responsible for ensuring that all invoices required for processing are captured correctly. 
    • Provide support in managing web-based applications applicable to the team. 
    • Build relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and the media. 
    • Monitor media coverage and advisory support.

    Project Services Accountant - Finance - Internal Client Services

    Job Description
    Main Purpose of Job

    Effective delivers Project Services (PS) administration services to the business (as per dedicated Service Line) for engagements that are simple or small in nature or in support of Service Lines that have large volumes but are less complex in nature
    Ensure that PS processes are run correctly

    Project Services Accountants will be responsible for the end-to-end management of projects including, but not limited to:

    • Assists Business in collating the required information (such as the project plan, billing schedule and resourcing) to open a project code
    • Verifies accuracy and completeness of information required to open project codes
    • Enforces compliance of governance requirements in the way that codes are opened
    • Communicates code governance requirements to business as and where needed
    • Escalates non-compliance to direct report
    • Ensures that the correct contract type is selected in order for the correct revenue recognition methodology to be followed
    • Oversees the code opening integration of Phoenix to SAP S/4HANA , and loads any additional information required by SAP
    • Ensures timeous and accurate opening and closing of engagement codes (by self or Business if applicable)
    • Manages time recording and expenses claims in relation to the pre-loaded project plan
    • Manages billing based on the project plan and instruction from Business
    • Submit zero rated/ exempt VAT invoices to the Regional Tax Hub for tax compliance checks 
    • Tracks unapproved expenses
    • Tracks missing time sheets and unapproved overtime
    • Reviews forecast revenue based on project plan, in line with firm policy
    • Effect any required adjustments, based on instruction from Business, to the monthly forecast to ensure accurate revenue recognition 
    • Initiates credit notes on request from Business and submits to the Business Partner for review
    • Ensures profit/loss impact of projects after project completion are reviewed and recognised correctly
    • Assists Business with timeous project code closure
    • Manages project code closure, with no activity, via a monthly ‘clean-up’ analysis
    • Manages replacement of Project Owners (Manager, Billing Partner, Proxy, project leaders or AR Party) on SAP
    • Resolves queries relating to project services data or process
    • Provides assistance and system training to project leaders on SAP activities relating to WIP and revenue reviews, rebates, provisions and revenue recognition reconciliations
    • Manages Project Services close over month-end
    • Performs first-level revenue analysis and combined with cost analysis from the General Accounting Accountant, provides feedback to the Country/ Regional/ Service Line Business Partner/s on the results

    Governance

    • Communicates and updates the Project Services Specialist on Country/ Regional Project Services movements
    • Attends Africa-wide: Project Services team meetings and training
    • Complies with standardised processes and controls

    • Checks work for accuracy and professional presentation prior to submission for review
