    Merchandiser

    Job Purpose

    • Optimisation of sales, costs and company objectives through effective merchandise planning and implementation of designated sales areas.

    Major Activities / Tasks

    I.Optimisation of sales, costs and company objectives through effective merchandise planning and implementation of designated sales areas.

    • Responsible for implementing the required Sales, Merchandising and Pricing procedures
    • Build displays in pharmacies within the Primary, Secondary and Impulse Space
    • Provide professional customer service
    • Keep up to date with trends in your territory
    • Plan forward activity (e.g. promotion) based on weekly and monthly activity schedules
    • Submit weekly and monthly reports and visual records on customer and field related activity, e.g. Price Surveys
    • Selected in-store promotions to be done as directed by the Regional Sales Manager and within required parameters
    • Ensure trade stock availability by understanding store sales patterns, rate of sale, promotional off take and product potential
    • All product P.I. Labels must be on shelf at all times and with updated P.I.
    • Products must have their rightful share as per rate of sale and must be in line with Nielsen Sale Share Principal lay out and Plan-o-grams
    • Awareness of loss prevention
    • Hygiene and cleanliness of space and stock
    • No damaged/soiled/expired stock on shelf and stock at eye level if possible
    • Front and back stock must be checked on each visit for stock rotation
    • Any product complaint must be reported to your Regional Sales Manager immediately and must be resolved within 48 hours
    • Ensure that all market related and brand achievement/successes are shared with all decision makers at store level
    • Promotional Feedback to the Regional Sales Manager must be done within 1st week of promotion by store promotion type
    • Ensure correct pricing at all times
    • Ensure that all P.O.S is placed correctly and of high standard
    • Ensure all brands are merchandised as near to market leader as possible
    • Adhere to store policies and procedures

    Educational Qualifications

    Senior Certificate

    • Relevant experience: At least 3 years appropriate sales experience and visual merchandising

    Key Account Associate

    Job Purpose

    Manage regional key account customers for State Business to identify market opportunities and implement sales strategy which focuses on resources for achieving sales and operating profitability of key strategic products for all identified key accounts

    Accountabilities

    Accountability Major Activities/Tasks

     Manage each key account to achieve business objectives

    • Achieve sales targets at key accounts level for respective regions.
    • Implement and insure pull through of promotional & sales strategies at provincial depot, regional depot, district depot, hospital levels
    • Develop and implement excellent relationship, marketing programs with key account level.
    • Analyse key account results, identify areas for improvement, and propose action plans to address sub-performance issues and present to the Regional Sales and Key Account Manager, the monthly reviews.
    • Prepare Weekly reports to be sent to RSM/KA Manager regarding all activities and feedback from Key Account meetings.
    • Submit monthly call planner by 25th day of the month for the next month
    • Submit Depot reviews regarding stock outs, Debtor age analysis, overdue order reports, additional sales opportunities.

    Education Qualification

    • Diploma with biology and training in Medical sciences i.e. Nursing, Clinical or Medical technologist, Pharmacist.

    Relevant Work Experience

    • Minimum of 3 years sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry with business (commercial) education will be advantageous and proven experience and successful track-record in pharmaceutical sale with state purchasing decision makers.

    Sales Representative

    Job Purpose

    Create and develop the maximum profitable sales of all company products and build goodwill with the medical community, hospitals, other health centres, and sales outlets to gain maximum understanding and acceptance of company products and policies

    Accountabilities

    Meet personal sales targets as established, incorporating the full range of products / services within identified markets or geography

    • Promote / sell products to new and existing customers through formulating and maintaining sound relationships.
    • Demonstrate products to new and existing clients and provide assistance in selecting the most suitable option.
    • Conduct presentations and follow up calls to clients with regard to products already purchased and new products on the market.
    • Actively resolve customer problems and complaints.
    • Conduct informative meetings with general practitioners, pharmacists and specialists and keeping a record of visits
    • Analysis of market trends and keeps abreast of new developments
    • Identify risks and opportunities with regard to sales.
    • Report to management on trends and gaps in the market.
    • Prepare sales presentations, contracts, and proposals to ensure successful outcome of transactions

    Coordinate adherence to customer & internal / external stakeholder policy / procedure and cross-functional integration to provide support and guidance

    • Adhere to customers SLAs and performance criteria
    • Conduct Business Reviews on customer for compliance to governance and business procedures
    • Monthly & Quarterly feedback on performance deliverables contract
    • Identify development areas and take initiative to close gaps to initiate business
    • Adherence to SLA's
    • Act as a champion and ambassador for the service culture
    • Determine how individual can service the business optimally

    Accountabilities 3

    Assist in financial management to keep control on spends

    • Generate monthly cost control report on spend vs allocated budget
    • Planning of monthly spend

    Education Qualification

    Relevant Diploma or Degree

    Relevant Work Experience

    • 2-5 years’ experience in a Sales role covering all areas of the function
