- Agricultural Diploma/Degree with 3 years’ marketing experience
- At least 3 years’ experience in the Livestock environment

Brief description of job purpose
As a Switchboard Intern you will be answering incoming calls, greeting callers, providing information to internal and external clients, transferring calls to the relevant parties and/or taking messages as necessary.

Mark bales from a clipwork-sheet that is provided. Queries regarding the bales will be checked by the bale marker and reported in order to be corrected.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12
- 2 years warehouse experience
- Basic knowledge of warehouse and wool administration system
- Writing and arithmetic skills
- Precision and accuracy
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the marking of bales that were identified for posting.
- Ensure that information is given for capturing.
- Assist with other tasks as allocated by Forklift Driver
- Responsible for writing up bales as identified for posting.
- To perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks as requested by his superior anywhere in the plant (BKB) premises
- Report any discrepancies to the Shipping Clerk, once the Shipping Clerk has corrected the problem (incorrect reference number).
- Assisting in the Resort dept - marking/tagging/assigning of bales before OM
- Maintain a safe and clean environment of the facilities according to ISO standards.

Responsible for the transportation and handling of bales on the HD press floor to the stowage area.
We have to get serious for a bit. We need:

- 3 years’ experience in the wool store
- Forklift license (valid)
- Must be able to work in a team
- Must take responsibility for own work output
- Good interpersonal skills
- Writing and arithmetic skills
- Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
- Must be able to perform under pressure and follow instructions
- Attention to detail
KEY FUNCTIONS:
- Removal of bales from HD to the stowage.
- Relocate all torn/ripped bales to the repress holding area.
- Must be able to work under pressure when floor is at full capacity.
- Record all incomplete reference numbers and report to the line manager.
- Perform daily hyster checks.
- Report any new noises to line manager.
- Always maintain a safe speed while ensuring productivity on the Shipping/HD floor
- All lawful work instructions must be perform as instructed by a superior.

Responsible for opening grab samples on the display area for the wool buyers to value.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12
- 2 years minimum work experience in the wool store
- Must take responsibility for own work output
- Good interpersonal skills
- Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
- Must be able to work in a team
Key Responsibilities
1. Opening grab samples:
- Open grab sample plastic and fluff-up/loosen the wool sample for valuating.
- Pin up test request sheet for viewing.
2. Handling of samples
- Pack out samples for viewing by wool buyers.
- Return samples with two test request sheets to OM so that Length and strength samples can be taken.
- Ensure grab sample are always identifiable and wool is not falling out.
3. House Keeping
- Sweep the aisles between the boxes.
- Use the blower to clean under the tables.
- Pick-up wool laying on the floor.
- Ensure the display area is clean and tidy.
4. Health and Safety
- Adhering to the rules and regulations of Health and Safety
5. Ad Hoc
- To perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks/ as requested by his/her superior anywhere in the plant (BKB)
