    Senior Engineering Driver

    Job Description:

    • The successful incumbent will be responsible to assist in the provision and maintenance of mine transport services in accordance to mine standards and policies & procedures. The incumbent will also be responsible for the safety of his/her colleagues including him/herself as well as the people whom services are provided to in and around the work environment.

    KEY RESULT AREAS:

    The successful candidate will be required to:

    • General administration of services within the section.
    • Various delivery and transport duties in and outside of Venetia Mine premises.
    • Transport of Venetia community within Venetia to various locations as per transport schedule and regular shuttle services.
    • Grading of roads, painting, putting up signs and driving of various equipment when required to do so.
    • Operate various equipment used within the Transport Services section i.e. Rigid Truck, Grader, TLB ,LDV, Shuttle Bus, etc.
    • Assist in equipment upkeep and day to day maintenance of equipment i.e. vehicles being used within the section as per company safety and housekeeping standards.
    • Conduct risk assessments and prescribed pre-start checks on equipment used.
    • Complies with safety standards and regulations.

    Qualifications:

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: (Education & Experience)

    • Grade 12 certificate or relevant NQF level 4 qualifications
    • Valid EC/Code 14 Drivers License
    • Public Driver’s Permit.
    • Grader & TLB License/Permit would be advantageous
    • Successfully obtain a Red Ticket (Medical Fitness certificate) on mine

    HRD Officer People Development

     

    Job Description

    Your day-to-day duties will include:

    • Identify discipline specific training projects aligned to the disciplines strategy
    • Support the formation of business proposals for discipline specific HRD People Development projects
    • Coordinate external and internal training courses
    • Ensure that the content and presentation of courses are at a professional standard
    • Ensure that HRD systems conform to Anglo Platinum policies
    • Monitor and trend HRD related statistics and interpret results
    • Provide the required control and information systems in place to track the Operation performance from an HR perspective
    • Identify opportunities to improve the performance of the Operation HRD function

    Security Officer - Command and Control

     

    Job Description

    • The Security Officer - Command and Control will be responsible to provide a frontline functional security service to protect the Company’s people and assets ensuring adherence to security policies, procedures, objectives and customer requirements at a designated site.

    Key responsibilities include:

    • Perform assigned product shipment/movement duties in accordance with strict standard operating procedures (SOP’s).
    • Control freight access and egress and conduct searches on vehicles, goods and equipment entering/leaving the freight area on company premises.
    • Provide expert security escorts for direct control over high-risk events where remote surveillance is not possible.
    • Perform surveillance duties in relevant high-risk areas and other areas.
    • Conduct physical and x-ray searches of persons, baggage and vehicles in accordance with procedures.
    • Monitor movement and behavior of personnel within sensitive areas for suspicious or irregular behavior.
    • Be vigilant and identify, report and/or take remedial action on threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Ensure optimal systems utilization to maximize the effectiveness of the security measures and enable early detection of possible indicators of theft and/or unusual activity.
    • Perform regular system integrity checks to ensure all equipment is in working order and correctly set-up.
    • Ensure effective configuration of Access and surveillance management systems in accordance with approved protocols and site requirements.
    • Respond to CCTV and other alarm conditions in accordance with procedures and protocols.

    Qualifications

    • Matric and relevant tertiary qualification at NQF level 4 in Security Management or recognized equivalent.
    • PSIRA registration – Grade C (minimum).

    Role-specific knowledge and experience:

    • Relevant security related experience.
    • Knowledge and application of surveillance equipment would be an advantage.
    • Knowledge and application of security access management practices, policies and procedures.
    • Analytical skills with ability to detect anomalies.
    • Ability to apply investigative techniques and compile detailed reports on incidents.
    • Valid driver's license (Code 08).
    • Valid security clearance (No criminal record, Pass pre-employment polygraph test)

    Mine Geological Systems Supervisor

     

    Job Description

    The focus for this role will be to:

    • Electronical updating of the current and forecasted positions of Geological structures and Geological zones and Generate the evaluation batches required by CADS mine to report accurate reserve information when required by the Shaft Geologist/Geology Manager, .
    • Ensure that mine geological plans are up to date and correct for planning.
    • Update mine geological systems on a monthly basis and all other relevant information in Microstation, as required by the Shaft Geologist/Geology Manager (e.g. geological structure, etc.)
    • Supply relevant plans and portions of plans and, Prepare and produce Business Objects reports as agreed by the Shaft Geologist.
    • Adhere to departmental processes, standards and procedures pertaining to Geology Draughting and all mine and or legal requirements in respect of storage of printed plans and information.
    • Report on all deviations from approved plans and all budget control relevant to mine geological systems output requirements.

    This role is in the Geosciences department at a D1 level reporting to the Shaft Geologist.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • Certificate in Mine Survey and Draughting Chamber of Mines (COM) is required.
    • Relevant Arc GIS and AutoCAD courses is advantageous
    • Must be proficient in DataMine, attended Introduction and Advanced courses
    • Must have completed Microstation V8 Essential
    • Proficient in PowerPoint / Word/ Excel.

    Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required

    • At least 5 years work experience in a Geology environment, of which 3 years must be on a narrow tabular ore body.
    • Suitable legal knowledge for Draughting, Mine Design and Schedule work (DME, Survey, Production and DME plan specifications).
    • Valid driving license code 08.
    • Ms Office PowerPoint / Word/ Excel
    • If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Certification.

    Survey Cads Draughtperson C5

    Job Description

    As the Survey Cads Draughtsperson you require 3 years experience in a mining environment in an electronic environment Draughting Office with knowledge on AutoCad, Microstation, MineRP, GIS computer systems.

    • You will be responsible for the Geology & Survey activities in compliance with statutory and departmental requirements.
    • Updating of mine development and stoping activities on the mines electronic Draughting system.
    • Assist the Surveyor in constructing mine layouts for short and medium term planning and control purposes.

    This role is in the Mineral Resource Department at a C5 level reporting to the Shaft Surveyor.

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
    • Chamber of Mines Survey Draughting certificate
    • Advantageous: Basic Survey and Sampling certificates
    • Experience with GIS
    • Computer Literate
    • Knowledge of working with scan data
    • Knowledge of scan data software such as Point-Studio
    • Driver’s license code EC
    • If successful, you will be required to undergo a Medical Fitness Test
