    Blended Learning Facilitator (Intermediate Phase) - SPARK Ferndale - 2024

    Responsibilities:

    • Create a positive student culture around online learning and independent work time and maintain high behavioural expectations for all students.
    • Actively “coach” students on all computer programs and ensure that the educational software used in the lab effectively meets the needs of students.
    • Create and submit lesson plans for project-based learning, in collaboration with intermediate phase teachers
    • Communicate and collaborate with teachers and school administrators to create individualized learning plans for students.
    • Use SPARK culture and behaviour management strategies.
    • Incorporate SPARK SEL (Social Emotional Learning) curriculum with scholars.
    • Ensure all educational resources and assets are used responsibly and effectively.
    • Report all damages to hardware to the School Operations Manager and fill out relevant incident reports if needed.
    • Optimize timetables to ensure learning time is managed well.
    • Participate actively in staff development opportunities as a member of the SPARK Schools team.

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • English language fluency.
    • Police clearance certificate.
    • Grade 12 Certificate.
    • Preferably, studying part­-time towards a B.Ed. or PGCE in the Intermediate or senior phase (3rd or 4th Year), with a view to becoming a qualified teacher.

    Experience:

    • Previous experience managing or working with primary school-aged children.
    • Basic computer skills and willingness to learn new technology.

    Customer Services Agent (TEMP) - SPARK Schools Support - Rosebank - 2024

    Responsibilities:

    • Actively engage all leads (Expressions of Interest) received within the required service levels to ensure the team achieves specified conversion ratios.
    • Contact potential clients and sell SPARK products with focus on filling our Schools Network to 100% capacity.
    • Answer inbound calls from customers, existing parents, academic staff and school operations staff with regards to all their queries and administrative requirements.
    • Deal with and resolve all unsolicited queries and complaints pertaining to SPARK Schools and engage with different stakeholders to resolve these within the agreed Service level Agreements.
    • Update information on the customer service system and other relevant platforms used in fulfilling the required tasks.
    • Provide quality customer engagement and service for every request for relevant information and clearly communicate with customers, existing parents, academic staff and school operations staff.

    Primary School Security Guard - SPARK Kempton Park - 2024

    Responsibilities:

    • Close the school grounds daily manually (lock and key) and rearm the alarm.
    • Ensure the safety and security of all students, staff, and visitors on campus by patrolling the grounds and monitoring the gate.
    • Assist all visitors who arrive to the school by welcoming them, receiving their personal details, providing a guest pass, and directing them to the relevant staff members.
    • Assist visitors as they leave the school by helping them to return their guest pass and sign out.
    • Assist with dismissal procedures daily to ensure the safety of students.
    • Adhere to the safety and security procedures of SPARK.
    • Report safety and security issues to school leadership, including the arrival of suspicious persons, the delivery of suspicious packages, the loitering of people in close proximity to school grounds, or any suspicious behaviour by members of staff or visitors.

    High School Principal - SPARK Blue Downs High (WC) - 2024

    Responsibilities:

    • Create and maintain a school culture that values high achievement, strong character, and a love for learning.
    • Implement a highly rigorous and engaging instructional program that promotes content mastery, creative problem solving, and character development, which is consistent with SPARK Schools’ mission and vision.

    Responsibilities:

    Scholar support

    • Emotional Learning curriculum with scholars
    • Behavior management of scholars
    • Communicate professionally with parents and line managers about incidents, conflicts, or concerns that occur in the after school programs

    Scholar Supervision and Monitoring

    • Supervise lunch and break during the instructional day

    Achievement enrichment school program

    • Supervise scholars during the after school program, ensuring play, and structured activities.

    • Ensure all after school program resources are used responsibly and effectively.
    • Assist scholars with clarifying and reviewing concepts taught in class, explaining processes and assist students solve specific problems.
    • Schedule and plan individual sessions for your scholars in collaboration with subject matter educators.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

    • Grade 12 Certificate
    • 1-2 years study towards an education degree majoring in Languages (IsiXhosa/Afrikaans)
    • Prior working experience with High School age scholars preferred
    • Clear criminal record
    • Provisional SACE is advantageous but not required
