    MCO Omnichannel Operations Manager

    Key dimensions - Scope & Scale:

    As a member of Africa Omnichannel Operations organization, Africa Omnichannel Operations Manager will be accountable to:

    • Drive execution of omnichannel transformation and capability building strategy in his/her market
    • Secure standardization of approaches, methodologies, solutions and tools across the BUs.
    • Lead transformation in the ways of working locally.
    • Take agile decisions, ensuring customer centric approach and external perspective and taking the necessary thoughtful risks to balance the maximum satisfaction of our customers with the value added to Sanofi.
    • Have One Sanofi approach, boosting the use of global tools and solutions, eliminating any fragmentation of our ecosystem, fostering the delivery of global and standard solutions, avoiding exceptions, but making sure that the specific and relevant needs of all GBUs are attended.
    • Work closely with BU’s, Digital, Procurement and the other GTMC pillars’ local leaders, aligning priorities and acting always under One Sanofi spirit to deliver best-in-class and best-in-cost support to our businesses.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Oversee the holistic local “orchestration”, maintaining a view of customers experience cross-GBU (digital and non-digital channels) to ensure a best-in-class customer experience.
    • Leading local deployment of Omnichannel transformation programs (Turing, GenAI, new platforms deployment, etc.) ​
    • Driving cross-BU change management for adoption of innovative / best-in-class practices and capabilities to maximize business impact and efficiency. Ensure effective communication, training, and adoption of changes across the organization in collaboration with Omnichannel BU Managers.
    • Assessment of skillset requirements and deployment of training modules & contents to local teams
    • Communicate go-to-market strategies, results, and key insights to leadership and cross-functional teams, fostering alignment and understanding, and enhancing data-driven actions.
    • Ensure local awareness and alignment with global tools, standards and processes related to omnichannel execution.

    • You will foster partnerships and close collaboration between local cross-functional teams (i.e. Marketing, Medical, Digital and Procurement) and with the other pillars of GTMC and drive structured ways of working among teams to deliver best-in-class omnichannel experiences for our customers.
    • You will operate in a lean but effective agile manner.
    • You will continuously work with GBU’s to deliver the value and insights expected from the Omnichannel Operations GTMC pillar as true partner in enabling business growth, establishing one single voice locally, prioritizing the needs of all businesses and the point of view of cross-functional teams.

    About you

    Work Experience:

    • 5+ years leading Omnichannel, Customer Engagement or Digital Marketing operations, with a focus on transformational projects management within the pharma industry.
    • Strong execution skills with proven delivery of outstanding results.
    • Project Management: experience leading transversal projects involving cross functional teams
    • High persistence and resilience.

    Knowledge:

    • Omnichannel management experience and expertise, with existing omnichannel projects proficiency (e.g Turing, GenAI).
    • Strategic analysis and planning, project management, excellent English language knowledge and skills (written and oral), IT knowledge and skills, proven impactful communication, presentation, persuasion, skills ability to work cross-functionally.

    Tender and Exports Manager

    Responsible for:

    • Developing and implementing a commercially sound strategy for the tender business (ZA, Botswana & Namibia) and the Private Sector in Botswana & Namibia.
    • Management of the contracted distributors in the respective export countries to ensure access to Sanofi products at a commercially sustainable level.
    • Identification and contracting of new export distributors, when necessary, that contribute to the overall Sanofi strategy.
    • Business development and market development in the neighbouring countries.
    • Establishing and maintaining relationships with the key Private Sector and Public Sector role players in the export markets.
    • Attainment of the sales budgets for the respective countries within the region – Botswana, Lesotho, Namibia & eSwatini.
    • Sourcing, qualification, appointment and management of independent sales agents in line with the Partnership Strategy in the export markets.
    • Timeous and accurate submission of valid bids on periodic tenders from the State authorities in South Africa, Namibia & Botswana.

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Achieve sales versus target for the export markets.
    • Negotiate buyout and tender opportunities in the export markets.
    • Maintain relationships with wholesalers within the export markets and ensure the development of business opportunities from the export countries.
    • Submission of periodic tenders through wholesalers within the affiliate’s region.
    • Ensure adequate customer service levels to all key customer in the export markets.
    • Report monthly and quarterly on the sales to target performance of the SA, Namibia and Botswana tender business, and any corrective actions to be taken.
    • Attainment of, and exceed, the agreed upon P&L for the export business.
    • Manage communications vis-à-vis stock availability and credit control actions to customers in the ZA Public Sector business.
    • Continuous monitoring of developments within the health care ecosystem in the export markets and reporting this back to the business (including risks and opportunities).

    ABOUT YOU:

    Education:

    • Grade 12
    • Undergraduate degree in health or science and a financial qualification
    • Scientific or health related qualification.

    Relevant Experience:

    • Previous negotiating experience within the Public Sector.
    • Previous contracting experience with Public Sector stakeholders.
    • Engagement with health authorities in the export markets.
    • Previous experience in export wholesaler management.
    • Knowledge of the health care and regulatory environment in the respective countries.

    BU Omnichannel Manager

    GTMC organization aims for:

    • Centralization of Go-to-Market excellence and operational tasks across GBUs,
    • Standardizing best-in-class capabilities with strengthened global support while verticalization of reporting within GTMC from local to global,
    • Defining clear ways of working and bringing clarity on interfaces with GBUs, Digital, and executional support on commercial operations from Sanofi hubs to optimize process excellence and efficiency and leveraging best, and
    • Establishing best-in-cost solutions by leveraging our bargain power with preferred suppliers established by Procurement.

    As a member of Africa Omnichannel Operations organization, BU Omnichannel manager will be accountable to:

    • Definition of Omnichannel strategy based on portfolio mix & GTM archetyping
    • Localization of global campaign design and adaptation of global approaches to reflect BU conditions
    • Standardization of tactical omnichannel planning, incl. automated channel approach, content, engagement
    • Take agile decisions, ensuring customer centric approach and external perspective and taking the necessary thoughtful risks to balance the maximum satisfaction of our customers with the value added to Sanofi.
    • Have One Sanofi approach, boosting the use of global tools and solutions, eliminating any fragmentation of our ecosystem, fostering the delivery of global and standard solutions, avoiding exceptions, but making sure that the specific and relevant needs of the BU are attended.

    Main responsibilities:

    • Work with brand teams to translate Customer engagement plans into Omnichannel journeys​
    • Run omnichannel campaigns development & execution on relevant platforms, including management of content adaptation to channel requirements, in line with global standards, tools and processes.
    • Responsible for engagement with agencies and Hub teams to ensure smooth content and campaign deployment.
    • Act as BU's omnichannel expert. Be the go-to person for understanding the technicalities and best practices of these channels, providing guidance to business partners to deliver best-in-class customer experiences.
    • Driving BU change management for adoption of innovative / best-in-class practices and capabilities to maximize business impact and efficiency ​​
    • Engage with I&A team to continuously analyze campaign performance and continuously optimize customer/content/channel plan.
    • Transferring knowledge and insights gained from successful campaigns and best practices to BU commercial and cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of shared learning and continuous improvement.
    • Engage cross functional teams within GTMc and BUs to support local campaign deployment, including Market Access and Medical, as needed.
