    Non-production Creditors Clerk

    We are looking for our Non-production Creditors Clerk based out of our East London Plant.

    Your Daily Tasks Will Be The Folowing

    • Process all non-stock expenses and local non-stock creditors invoices;
    • Follow up daily on creditors queries, price variances and short supplies;
    • Telephone queries;
    • Check invoices for price variances and follow up with Senior buyer;
    • Ensure GRNs timeously matched;
    • Log, match and transfer of invoices;
    • Follow up on outstanding orders;
    • Use the COUPA system optimally to perform duties.
    • Ensure SOX internal control compliance of non-production creditors.

    Weekly

    • Prepare list of local non-production creditor payments for LEX;
    • Reconcile creditor payments made to LEX forecast.

    Monthly

    • Prepare monthly non-production creditors reconciliations timeously;
    • Review all local non-production creditors reconciliations prior to payment for accuracy and validity;
    • Prepare payments to be loaded;
    • Load payment run onto SAP;
    • Update reconciliations with payment run number;
    • Fax/e-mail the reconciliations to suppliers;
    • File reconciliations;
    • Accruals journal preparation;
    • Intercompany confirmations;
    • Prepare price variance report and follow up with Senior Buyer.

    Other Items

    • Statistical returns;
    • Stock take capturing;
    • Other ad hoc duties.

    Requirements / Qualifications

    • Matric with mathematics;
    • Computer skills – Word, Outlook, Excel, and SAP;
    • Previous work experience as creditors clerk.

    Operations Manager

    Position Overview

    To manage the Operation on site ensuring production targets are achieved, effectively and efficiently within the quality standards, according to the established quality and risk system, and according to customer requirements.

    Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to)

    • Formulating annual objectives for each department by the cascading of corporate strategic objectives
    • Formulating individual direct reports' objectives in line with operational objectives
    • Monitoring objective achievement by performing regular reviews
    • Supporting and providing assistance to all departments and individuals as required
    • Conduct advance quality planning exercises by analysing customer business requirements and Lear business resources and processes to determine how best to set up Lear business processes to meet supplier specifications and customer demandsTake responsibility for the operational activities of production on site ensuring that the customer requirements are met timeously, cost effectively & meeting quality standards.
    • Based on annual operational objectives for each department and projects to be concluded, revise and approve department draft budgets initially as set by departmental managers
      Finalise the operations draft budget and present this to the General Manager for approval
    • Monitor budget spending and initiate corrective action as required
    • Ensure aderhence to Health, Safety, security and plant maintenance regulations.
    • Manage and support the quality standards of the operation in line with the overall Management Systems.
    • Manage and Supervise Department staff.

    To be a success in this role you must have:

    • 5 years in Operations Management/Production Management/Management position
    • Degree in Technology Management/Engineering Diploma/Production Management Diploma
    • Industrial Relations; Financial Management; Interpersonal Skills

    Accounting Supervisor

    As accounting supervisor, your main resposability would be to provide the necessary financial information to plant management and internal control environment for the plant to produce quality product profitably and consistent with the Lear Leadership model.

    Additional duties will include (but may not be limited to) :

    Daily:

    • Staff Queries
    • Review of EFT prior to authorisation
    • Process any necessary journals
    • Subledger reconciliations of creditors and inventory
    • PPV follow up of the day’s differences.
    • Ensure creditor masterfile changes are properly done and signed off.

    Weekly:

    • Review Lex and CVS submissions relating to creditors.
    • Follow up all QN’s and airfreight claims have been issued to suppliers on timely basis.
    • Review GRNI with logistics, perform verification and sign off the GRNI.

    Monthly:

    • Ensure that Local & Foreign creditors recons have been reviewed and check SAP payment listing prior to payment
    • Review Intercompany reconciliations and authorise necessary adjustments
    • Maintain the general ledgers
    • Balance and close off creditors and stock subsidiary ledgers on SAP and deal with queries
    • Post month end journals & reversals
    • Month end close reconciliation and applicable duties
    • Income statement – prepare and do necessary adjustments
    • Review the completion of the VAT returns and ensure timeous submission. Comply with Sox requirements and with European reporting.
    • General ledger reconciliations – Stock, Accounts Payable, Stock & Expense Accruals, Other Creditors, Forex, VAT control accounts
    • PPV reconciliation with balance sheet and income statement on monthly basis. Close out PPV items with purchasing on daily basis.
    • Prepare roll forward of stock and creditors
    • Compiling information for forecasting & update purposes
    • Accuracy of stock-take cut off

    Reporting

    • Assist in preparation of the budget
    • Compiling various reports on a monthly and annual basis
    • Internal Control
    • Ensure SOX compliance for the finance department in terms of creditors and inventory.
    • Ensure invoices are processed within 5 days of receiving the documents to process the invoices.

    Hyperion

    • Assist Financial manager in monthly hyperion reporting – update, forecast, close
    • Adhoc reporting
    • Other items
    • Income tax returns – complete schedules and handle queries (both RSA and US)
    • Prepare for audits (final, interim and royalty)
    • Check AFS to SAP and adjust where necessary.
    • Quarterly Attest preparation on a quarterly basis.
    • Staff reviews every quarter.
    • Controlling staff HR issues – leave forms, overtime etc
    • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in a similar position
    • Successful experience in an industrial environment
    • Experience with accounting software
    • Strong computer skills, MS Excel in particular
    • Solid knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, laws and regulations
    • Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data
    • Attention to detail and accuracy
    • Team management skills
    • Ability to prioritize work

    Language Skills:

    • French- fluent
    • English-fluent
