    Corporate Construction Management Lead

    What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

    • As the Corporate Construction Management Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the construction and implementation phases of the renewable energy projects. You’ll develop and implement governance structures, policies, and procedures to ensure consistent construction management.
    • You’ll work closely with Project Implementation Managers to allocate and manage resources effectively, promoting a positive safety, health, environment, and quality culture on-site. Your expertise will guide the evaluation of technical offers, contract negotiations, and the identification and mitigation of project risks. Additionally, you’ll lead the lessons learned process to continuously improve the project execution.

    What you’ll need

    • To succeed in this role you must have a degree in engineering or a related field and be a registered Professional Construction Project Manager with SACPCMP or a Project Manager with PMI. With 10-15 years of experience in project construction and construction contract management, particularly in the renewable energy sector in South Africa, you have proven abilities in leading and motivating teams.
    • Your technical competencies include proficiency in MS 365, project scheduling tools, and knowledge of IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principles. Excellent communication skills in English and additional language skills are advantageous.

    Accountant Projects New CA Bcom Experience

    • Are you a meticulous and detail-oriented financial professional with a strong background in project finance? Do you thrive in dynamic environments, ensuring financial precision and compliance? If you have a passion for accounting and a knack for optimising processes, this could be the perfect role for you.

    What you’ll be doing (and why you’ll enjoy it)

    • You will manage all project accounting activities and reporting for multiple territories. You will keep all accounting activities up to date, ensuring weekly and monthly deadlines are met, and track and reconcile purchase orders, customer invoices, and project costs. You’ll be involved in budget and forecast processes, analyse trends, and support department managers with templates and guidelines. Collaborating closely with in-country finance and project management teams, you will ensure financial controls are in place and respected. Your role will also involve continuous follow-up on liquidity, tracking accounts receivable, and optimising invoicing and collection processes. Your analytical skills will be essential in reviewing and analysing supplier invoices before payment.
    • You’ll be responsible for project accounting as well as some of your role directly on the company’s finances – about a 80/20% split.

    • We’re looking at either a newly Qualified CA or someone with a Bcom degree in finance or a similar field, along with at least 3 years of post-qualifying experience. We’d love someone with project finance experience in Africa but we are happy to look at someone with strong accounting experience. You’ll need strong Excel skills, particularly with pivot tables etc. Experience in the construction, engineering, or oil and gas industries will be advantageous. Your strong analytical abilities and attention to detail will be crucial in this role. We’re looking for a young, driven and passionate individual, someone that can think outside the box and is dynamic.

    • You’ll need a Matric Certificate and at least one year of Receptionist experience in a professional environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is essential, along with a professional attitude and appearance. Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. While not essential, having your own transport would be beneficial. Preference will be given to candidates residing in Stellenbosch.
