    BI Tester - Bellville

    DUTIES

    • Analyse and develop the proper test coverage with the Business/Data Analyst/ Product Owner
    • Responsible for creating and executing test scripts 
    • Identify and create necessary test data 
    • Check test results and log defects
    • Analyse test failures
    • Analyse metrics for quality assessment
    • Analyse risks, develop contingencies, and plan testing accordingly.
    • Extract information, as requested by clients, from different databases.
    • May work with Business/Data Analyst to influence and monitor User Acceptance Testing.
    • Track and monitor errors and test results with project team
    • Testing progress reports to management for overall testing reporting.
    • Responsibilities may require after hours and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Relevant Tertiary IT/Testing Qualification (Degree or diploma)
    • Minimum of 3 years BI testing experience 
    • Testing on large volumes of data
    • Testing certification (ISTQB – Foundation certificate) will be an advantage
    • Previous experience in tools like JIRA and Xray will be beneficial
    • Experience using Microsoft SQL server management studio will be beneficial
    • Experience writing SQL queries is critical for this role
    • Experience utilizing exploitation tools 
    • Experience in software testing methodologies (agile, waterfall, data, functional and non-functional), test planning, test cases development, execution of test cases
    • Experience in developing test cases and test scenarios from use cases and/or requirements specifications
    • Experience with Requirements Management, Test Management and Defect Management Tools. 
    • Experience with Release processes

    Business Analyst (Finance/Accounting) - Bellville

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Consult with business to identify business problems and opportunities 
    • Assist with conceptualization, proposal of solution and business case development
    • Analyse and decompose relevant business processes and understand the impact on business 
    • Elicit, analyse, document and maintain business requirements and functional specifications

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Degree related to business analysis and information systems e.g. B. Com
    • Relevant Tertiary qualification or certificate/diploma in Business Analysis from an industry recognized training institution
    • 3 - 5 years’ experience as Business Analyst e.g. CBAP will be advantageous
    • 3 - 5 years’ Finance regulatory and compliance experience advantageous.
    • Experience with working in an agile environment e.g. Scrum, managing product backlogs and writing user stories
    • Experience in the use of software and process modeling methodologies and tools 
    • Experience working with Atlassian (Jira and Confluence) advantageous
    • Experience in workshop facilitation and communication with stakeholders both internal and external and at different levels of the organisation
    • Experience in the use of project management techniques and methodology advantageous
    • Experience in the regulatory and compliance environment advantageous

    Salvage Case Management Agent: Non-Motor (JG10)

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Conducts the follow-ups on non-motor salvage by Salvage service providers.
    •  Ensures that salvage is sold as per the target.
    • Drive salvage sales against turnaround times 
    • Track the salvage payments against sales.
    • Verify if payment of salvage is deposited into Santam’s account.
    • Liaising with internal and external, Salvage dealers) stakeholders
    • Handle queries from stakeholders
    • Adherence to SOP and SLA
    • Ensures client satisfaction and targets are met.
    • Escalate complaints to the relevant Team Managers or Departments.
    • Ensures that salvaged assets are auction-ready within the given TAT from when the Upliftment is completed by the Assessor.
    • Track Non-Motor assets with relevant Salvage suppliers as per SLA.
    • Monitors receipts and dealer stocking of documents by the Salvage Supplier as per SLA.
    • Handles the cancellation request coming from the Merit Claims/ Non-Motor Assessing Departments
    • Ensure that the systems are utilized per the Salvage SOP
    • Identifies gaps between the Salvage department processes and that of the Assessing environment.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Matric/ Grade 12
    • Minimum 2 - 5 years’ experience in the short-term insurance industry.
    • Minimum of 2 -3 years salvage experience. 
    • Must have a good knowledge of Ms Excel.

    Claims Specialist: Casualty Claims (SHA)

    What will make you successful in this role?

    Claims Practice Management 

    • Attend and manage all aspects related to a portfolio of specialist claims such as claims registration, case management, drafting, diary, recoveries, and settlement negotiations.
    • Draft settlement agreements and other legal documents within mandate as per the Claims Governance Folder.
    • Strategically manage a portfolio of claims.
    • Manage loss adjusters and attorneys appointment on matters and ensure compliance with agreed service level agreements.
    • Monitor and manage legal spend of attorneys and loss adjusters.
    • Manage system processing and compliance with systems by way of payments, updating signed off reserves, proper recordal of information etc.
    • Attend to Operational duties as allocated 
    • Compile and manage risk reports when required
    • Actively manage and record claims above certain thresholds as per The Claims Governance Folder and report on matters to Claims Co and Executive where required.
    • Comply with internal and external regulatory framework and internal and external processes and procedures in accordance with organisational standards.
    • Draft processes and procedures that are compliant with relevant regulatory framework and applicable legislation. 
    • Effectively liaise and interact with Underwriters.  

    Analysis

    • Consider, analyse and interpret insurance policy and the contractual impact thereof for the determination of coverage;
    • Critically analyse the facts of the matter and their impact on the underlying policy.
    • Draft opinions on the interpretation of coverage in relation to the facts and the applicable policy, present and motivate;
    • Draft opinions on merits and quantum of matter with the relevant caselaw and legislation applicable;
    • Apply critical thinking to ensure appropriate decisions on merits, quantum and policy response.
    • Critically consider and evaluate information provided and identify information required.
    • Conduct a strategic assessment of claims and make strategic decisions and recommendations on handling of claims.
    • Develop and maintain an understanding of technical and legal aspects impacting on the policy’s operation.
    • Make representations and recommendations on improved wording and trends identification to underwriters 

    Individual Claims Leadership

    • Be involved in continuous training and development in respect of Case Law, Policy wording, etc. 
    • Assist in identifying and developing SOP’s and processes to ensure claims department effectiveness.
    • Take initiative in creating opportunities of interaction with Brokers and Insureds.  

    Client Liaison (Internal and External)

    • Liaise with clients to resolve queries to the satisfaction of the affected parties within the scope of authority and / or responsibility.
    • Prepare for and attend meetings and consultation with brokers, insureds, legal representatives and loss adjusters.

    Qualification and Experience

    • Matric 
    • Law Degree 
    • Admitted attorney 
    • FAIS compliance a preference 
    • Previous non-motor liability claims handling experience
