    Business Development Director

    In this role you will

    • Develop and implement strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth objectives.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and other lead generation activities.
    • Create and deliver compelling sales presentations to potential clients.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.
    • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
    • Analyse market data to identify potential areas for business expansion and product/service enhancement.
    • Advise and consult with companies on their broader HR challenges.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of client solutions.

    Qualifications

    Requirements:

    • Minimum 10 years of work experience in a Human Capital Management consulting role with strong focus on Business Development
    • Strong competence in Human Resources and Human Capital Management or related fields such as Rewards, Talent Management, organisational design
    • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or a related role.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluency in English.
    • Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
    • Demonstrated success in closing deals and achieving revenue targets

    Risk Management Consultant

    RISK MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT

    • Preparing marketing reports to assist in the placement of client insurance programs. Reports will follow the Willis Towers Watson standard structure and contain key understanding of hazards at facilities and how the management team are controlling/ mitigating their impact.
    • Present risk improvements and loss calculations
    • Develop risk improvement recommendations that are clear, appropriate and are fairly balanced between the interests of clients and insurers;
    • Calculate loss expectancies within company guidelines across a range of industries;
    • Undertake risk management audits;
    • Provide general advice on improving the risk management maturity within clients;
    • Ensure that all reports and other deliverables are prepared and ready in a timely manner;
    • Provision of technical support to clients and the broking team across a range of issues relating to good industry practices;
    • Clear understanding of the funding that supports engineering activities on individual accounts;
    • Ensuring that the proposed scope of engineering activities do not exceed the available fee amount unless agreed by Account Executive and client manager;
    • Maintain technical competency in chosen industry sector and keep up-to-date with risk management developments (e.g. attend seminars, review technical publications, etc.);
    • Represent Willis professionally on business trips and in meetings;
    • Compliance with all Willis Towers Watson company policies (e.g. Travel, Ethics, etc.);
    • Any other duties commensurate with position or level of responsibility

    Job Expectations

    • Time is generally split between the office and the site being inspected.
    • Conditions may be cramped, dusty and dirty, depending on the site. Surveyors may need to work at heights, for example on factory sites and in hazardous locations. Some sites cover a large area and could involve a lot of walking to conduct the survey.
    • As surveyors represent the company on site, smart dress is required but with appropriate changes/cover for site conditions. Hard hats, boots and other protective equipment may be needed for some visits and are provided by the insurance company or client.
    • Travel is required for site visits with overnight stays required.
    • Overseas travel may be required if working for a multinational company  

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • High level of Risk Engineering technical expertise 
    • Degree (or equivalent) and risk management qualifications or relevant accreditations
    • Comfortable travelling extensively (e.g. 80-95 days per year) both within and / or outside of South Africa
    • Self-starter, with good interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively relate to individuals at all levels – from site technicians up to company CEOs
    • Proven ability to write detailed reports of a varied technical nature
    • Experience of carrying out property risk surveys
    • The flexibility to work in a range of physical locations, some uncomfortable.
    • Driver’s license and care is a necessity 
    • Negotiating and influencing skills with the ability to handle occasional conflict situations;

    Business Development Specialist - Rewards Data Intelligence

    The Role

    • The Rewards Data Intelligence Business Development Specialist  is responsible for the acquisition of new clients within a defined territory. The role holder will work closely with the Rewards Data Intelligence Country Leader in our Johannesburg office to define target organisations for our Rewards Data Intellligence offering within the Strategic and Enterprise segment.
    • The role will be responsible for developing a strong territory sales pipeline, moving prospects through the sale stages and winning new business. 
    • This position requires strong product sales experience, self-motivation. An understanding of how Rewards Data Intelligence influences compensation planning.
    • Engages with prospective clients to promote and sell a portfolio of RDI products and/or services and solutions
    • Identifies and pursuits new logo sales opportunities for a defined target market
    • Pursue and develop relationships with affiliate groups to secure WTW as their preferred survey partner 
    • Creates, monitors and revises lead generation plans to ensure a substantive sales opportunity pipeline
    • Provides regular updates and market feedback to the Data and Software Sales Leader on pipeline health

    Qualifications

    The Requirements

    • Proven new business generation experience in a competitive product environment, at least 2-3 years relevant experience
    • Uderstanding of compensation management practices within multiple industry sectors is an advantage
    • Strong interpersonal, negotiating and organizational skills
    • Self-Motivated, driven, and self-starter, tenacious with a positive attitude
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English, additional Afrikaans is a plus
    • Excellent listener – able to probe, understand the issues, and respond with correct solutions
    • Cultural awareness to support international sales 
    • Demonstrated ability to perform in a team environment
    • Numerate and Computer literate with a strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
    • A Post-Graduate University Degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing specialization will be a plus
