    Superintendent Materials Management

    Education & Qualifications

    • Relevant technical or commercial qualification

    • Minimum 7-10 years’ business experience in supply chain inventory and logistics and demonstrated leadership proficiency.

    Role Accountabilities

    • Statistically analyse inventory data sets to determine factual story lines and trends, group in manageable buckets and use these buckets for improvements initiatives and programs
    • Develop a baseline inventory per site, based on analytics, BOM requirements and the site need requirements.
    • Analyse and propose improvements for the current coding and classification parameters within SAP to optimize levels of automation within the SAP replenishment process.
    • Develop standards and guidelines for inventory management including stocking strategies, including a set of key performance indicators that will ensure service level optimisation resulting in the least excess and redundant inventory. 
    • Interact with site supply chain and engineering functions and understand the end-user requirements that translates into an efficient and effective provision of inventory holding.
    • Develop and entrench effective warehousing standards, strategies and operational best practises to ensure proficient receipt, storage, non-conformance handling, audit, issue and staging of stock.
    • Identification and segregation of excess and redundant inventory for the purposes allowing the disposal process to commence.
    • Develop and entrench effective inventory monitoring and counting practices that will protect inventory from pilferage and loss.
    • Develop and entrench workflow systems that will ensure FIFO (First in First Out) practises are maintained including shelf life management.  
    • In consultation with the relevant freight forwarding agents, design and maintain best practise inbound and outbound physical networks used to move material and equipment to and from the mines in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.
    • Understand and implement (where applicable) regionally consolidated networks and warehousing practises that could result in reduced inventory holding costs and increased customer service levels.   
    • Implement, manage and report the inbound freight KPI’s as set out by the business requirements. This includes the GIT (Goods in Transit) account.
    • Consult, understand and implement inventory practises that ensure the safe keeping of inventory from weather elements, the risk of hazards such as fire, chemical spills, combustion and deterioration due to cold storage requirements. 
    • Entrench effective warehousing design and binning strategies (both inside and yard areas) that will ensure safe operation, clear demarcation and identification, easy access, and the least storage space utilisation. This includes SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) analysis and understanding the cost of carrying each inventory item to ensure it meets the financial objectives of the business.

    • Identify stock and non-stock material which is redundant or more than requirements and maintain registers. Its key to understand what key equipment is installed at each mine site.
    • Redeployment of redundant, underutilised and excess material between mine sites.
    • Analyse and guide the best programmes to optimise the value within the sale and disposal processes.

    Principal GSP Mine Planning

    Education & Qualifications

    • Undergraduate degree in mining related discipline.
    • Postgraduate qualifications in mining related discipline and/or business would be advantageous.

    • Can identify and interpret safety risks and resolve emerging issues; and ensuring that appropriate focus and resources are available to achieve safety objectives.

    Mining Production Processes & Practices 

    • Extensive experience and understanding of mining production process/practices. 
    • Understanding of good production practices, management, support systems, and how each should interact to deliver targeted performance.

    • Leading the development of the mine schedules and production scenarios for the assigned engagement.
    • Working with the appropriate SME’s to develop defendable inputs & assumptions.

    • Supporting communication of results & recommendations to all stakeholders, including AGA Senior Leadership.
    • Providing feedback and updates to GSP Engagement Leads as required.
    • Continuous improvement of GSP processes, tools & systems.
    • The role is focused on delivering value adding & insightful outputs which support an informed decision-making process at the asset and AGA portfolio level.

    • Provide input into the development of a fit-for purpose scope and approach to deliver the objectives to schedule/budget.

    • Provide technical expertise across the organisation in the field of Strategic Mine Planning.

    Specialist People Technology: Payroll

    Education & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in IT related fields or other related Qualifications

    Experience

    • 10+ years in a corporate IT environment
    • 8+ years’ experience with SAP HR systems

    Specialist: Controllership Accountable for Group Reporting

    Education & Qualifications

    • Chartered Accountant, or equivalent qualification

    General Knowledge & Experience

    • 5 years in the mining industry and/or associated business fields, and which should include corporate reporting / financial accounting functions
    • Detailed understanding of complex commercial, accounting, and financial reporting issues (IFRS)
