    Loan Analyst

    NOTE: This is a role for one of our clients, not for Crayon.

     

    Company Description

    Established in 2017, the company has a solely online offering, with a proprietary risk-assessment model which is applied through a unique suite of FinTech platforms. More than 80% of the lending decision is automated enabling them to originate a loan within 72 hours.

     

    Role Description

    You will work hands-on within a start-up-company in a close-knit team to originate prospective business loan applications and to provide customer service throughout the loan origination journey. As a loan originator you will be responsible for:

    •  Loan Origination: analysing, review and evaluation of loan applications, formulate quotes
    •  Customer service/interaction throughout the loan value chain
    •  Administrative duties: follow up late payments, post deal due diligence, post deal admin
    •  Compliance

    The ideal candidate is energetic and hard-working, possesses strong relationship building/sales development skills, the ability to communicate financial concepts in simplistic terminology, analytical skills, good time management skills, good planning and organisational skills and strong admin skills.

     

    Salary

    R26,000 – R35,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

    Responsibilities

    Loan origination

    • Responsible for loan pre-qualification screening
    • Review and evaluates loan applications and documentation for completeness
    • Preparing, reviewing and analysing the creditworthiness of all business loan originations and renewals by completing a credit scorecard
    • Request additional information and follow up outstanding applications
    • Engaging with clients (telephonically and written) throughout the loan origination journey
    • Creating loan quotes and proposals in conjunction with the credit and legal team
    • Determine loan pricing, repayment mechanisms and terms (in consultation with credit team)
    • Providing professional customer service, through quick turn-around time and effective communication, whilst adhering to the lending guidelines and practices

     

    Administrative duties

    • Pipeline management from origination through to close
    • Post-close due diligence to ensure the loan is documented as approved and is in compliance with business/credit rules, relevant regulations, and internal policies and guidelines
    • Follow up on any non-payment
    • Deal with new payment plans or refinancing requests
    • Deal with early settlement queries
    • Obtain and file copies of loan applicants; credit history, corporate financial statements, and other financial information
    • Constantly reviewing and improving the origination and lending process in order maintain highest level of efficiency, and ability to allocate more time to origination and business development
    • Compliance
    • Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines

     

    Requirements

    • Accounting or business qualification preferred (will consider comparable experience)
    • 5 years of work experience in loan origination/administration
    • Familiarity with loan administration, accounting and banking applications/software
    • Financial/accounting skills with the ability to understand and interpret financial statements, historical trends, budgets, projections, management performance, industry and cash flow information
    • Strong analytical skills (data analyses)
    • Excellent excel skills (pivots, lookups)
    • Strong administrative skills
    • Solid understanding of lending products and practices
    • Negotiation skills
    • Strong project management – planning, organisational time management
    • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

    Salary

    R48,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

    Responsibilities

    • Conceptualise and execute award winning creative ideas
    • Manage visual identity of a brand/ brands
    • Interact with other agency teams/ divisions to develop creative concepts
    • Create print and editorial layouts and oversee shoots
    • Ensure consistency and integration of art direction across all communication channels
    • Responsible for seeing the idea through the creative process to final sign off
    • Work to brief and show understanding and relevance to the target market
    • Develop your professional skills on a daily basis

     

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role
    • A killer portfolio
    • Relevant Degree/Diploma
    • Solid technical skills in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

    Senior Conceptual Copywriter

    Looking for an experienced copywriter to join the creative team. Someone who can step in and hit the ground running, working with the ECD and Group Heads to develop creative, meaningful content that will engrain brands into popular culture.

     

    Salary

    R48,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

     

    Responsibilities

    • Develop effective and meaningful ideas, content, copy and scripts by:
    • Working with the creative leadership and agency teams to understand the client and create award winning creative work
    • Using key messages and client understanding to research and develop work for multiple communication channels, both ATL and digital, as well as any further copy required by the project (including social media content taglines, video end taglines, copy for print and web)
    • Working within a team to produce award-winning creative executions
    • Producing a variety of high quality copy solutions, from punchy short-form to persuasive long-form and scripts
    • Developing concepts and approaches based on their understanding of the client’s communication requirements

     

    Requirements

    Essential knowledge and skills

    • Two to four years’ experience in copywriting for advertising or marketing agencies
    • Knowledge/understanding of storytelling principles in traditional ATL channels and digital
    • A portfolio that contains conceptual ideas that demonstrates an understanding of TTL comms
