    Creditors Controller - Piet Retief

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Monitor accurate and timely payments to suppliers
    • Overseeing monthly reconciliations and control all transactions and approve journals
    • Ensure that financial control systems are in place
    • Report financial irregularities and problems to ensure compliance with the financial policy (IFRS) and company processes and procedures
    • Secure financial information by completing data base backups
    • Give guidance to clerks regarding reconciliations and suppliers queries
    • Develop, implement, modify and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology
    • Constantly monitor outstanding queries on the clerks’ reconciliations of the suppliers
    • Dealing with queries raised by the clients, by either letter or phone
    • Ensure all policies or procedural changes are communicated to suppliers
    • Provide support with compilation of annual financial statements
    • Checking and sending of month-end statements, collating into groups as necessary
    • Reconciling complex accounts that have been escalated from the Accounts Payable team
    • Resolve payment issues with vendors
    • Manage day to day processing of Accounts Payable duties
    • Maintain training and develop Accounts Payable team
    • Creating procedures and policies that ensure timely payments
    • Supervise reconciliation of vendor accounts and their balances
    • Ensure all Accounts Payable are processed

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Matric / Grade 12
    • Relevant Bachelor's Degree (preferably BCom Accounting)
    • Computer literate
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in similar position
    • Experience with financial reporting and forecasting
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Accuracy, high attention to detail and deadline driven
    • Bilingual (English & Afrikaans)
    • Experience in Evolve
    • Competency with large ERP systems
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Strong leadership skills
    • Good business acumen for problem solving
    • Confidence to deal with a range of stakeholders
    • Ability to prioritise a demanding workload

    Production Supervisor - Wellington

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Responsible for all daily production requirements
    • Responsible for all production inputs into PLC and documents
    • Responsible for ongoing quality checks of daily production                              
    • Responsible for ongoing checks of bag weights on a daily basis and record keeping thereof
    • Responsible of receiving bulk raw materials, offload of trucks into correct bays
    • Stacking of raw materials to maximize bulk bay capacities                 
    • Responsible for quality checks of all raw materials received and record keeping
    • Responsible for stock count of all floor stock on a daily basis
    • Responsible for controlling and supervising of labor, for production requirements
    • Daily quality / quantity checks of all products manufactured
    • Responsible for general housekeeping of the facility               
    • Responsible for labour's time keeping and daily clocking                               
    • Assist with maintenance and breakdowns of equipment when needed
    • Responsible for managing plant vehicles

    Qualifications and Skills

    • Grade 12 
    • Sound managerial skills
    • 3-5 years in a production or similar environment
    • Good communication skills
    • Own transport
    • Computer literate
    • Knowledge of fertilizer blending and bagging
    • Be able to work extended hours on short notice
    • Disciplined, multi-skilled, accurate to detail, task driven, and performance orientated
    • Knowledge of Bagtek and Ricelake PLC (advantageous)
    • Work and maintain high standards on a continuous basis
