    Supervisor Quality Control/Assurance lI - Malmesbury Pasta-ZAF

    What we’re looking for:

    We are looking for a Quality Control/Assurance Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The role is physically located at the Malmesbury Pasta Plant and reporting to the Operations Manager The successful candidate will be responsible to Oversee the implementation of quality and food safety management system in the plant.

    The successful candidate will also be responsible for the following:

    • Documenting and managing the quality processes and information
    • Updating and implementing the Quality Assurance procedures
    • Conducting and moderating internal and external Quality Management audits (QM audits, AIB Audit)
    • Testing and controlling raw materials, packaging & finished products
    • Resolving customer complaints & product returns
    • Managing their team and training employees on Quality Management systems, policies & procedures
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that procedures are followed correctly at Production level
    • Identify and Report/communicate of any issues that will influence quality/food safety
    • Provide support to Production regarding training and implementation of corrective actions
    • Conduct consumer/customer complaints investigation and provide feedback to the quality manager
    • Ensure that the facility is aware and available for all related audits
    • Validate that the relevant documentations are in place for the audit
    • Ensure that the corrective actions of previous findings are done
    • Ensure that proactive steps are taken to minimise risks, findings etc. in the system

    Qualifications

    What will qualify you for the role

    • Grade 12 and a Food Safety related qualification
    • 5 years relevant experience
    • Food science/ Food Technology or related qualification or any other relevant
    • Proven Supervisory experience (Proven people management and leadership)
    • Comfortably running Audits (FSSC, AIB, and other Internal/ External audits)

    WECA Insights and Analytics Manager

    Overview

    To lead the WECA BU (Foods and Beverages) insights agenda, guiding the business on key strategic priorities, implementing regular analysis, supporting and validating market strategy and innovation agenda and gearing the business for growth.

    • Identifies areas for growth, enables growth through elevating marketing Innovation and creative and optimized growth by reading the market situation from a country, category, consumer, and competitive lens.
    • Leverages global tools and creates market specific tools given the landscape of operations in WECA markets.
    • The role is a critical enabler for identifying white space markets/ new categories and validating the portfolio opportunities to enter these markets as these markets are critical to the growth ambition of the BU.
    • A highly cross-functional role and interactions will be at the most senior levels within the Sector, Business Units and Global team, R&D teams including regular interactions.

    Responsibilities

    Insights functional agenda:

    • Contribute to sector Insights & Analytics functional agenda and deployment as a member of the team.

    Raw Materials Planner - Malmesbury Office

    Main responsibilities:

    • The Role is responsible to provide leadership of the RMS planning & Management of SSABU Foods portfolio,stock policy management and warehousing capacity planning.
    • Responsible for the national management of RMS inventory flow in accordance with the company consensus forecast, budget constraints on freight and warehousing costs as well as working capital targets.
    • Responsible for leading business efforts in order to implement and monitor compliance for inbound RMS purchasing & ordering processes.
    • Deliver Pepsico SSABU Raw material service levels across all items through close management and execution of the MRP and change programmes.
    • Support Business Objective of 98% FG customer service by providing on time availability in right design materials.
    • Management of raw material inventory in consensus with the forecast and within the guidelines of the company RMS stock policy & freight budget.
    • Minimise RMS write-off due to obsolescence through leading change management activities on all NPD’s & SKU discontinuation decision, equal to or less than R50M per project by working closely with all key atakeholders throughout the commercialization process and ensuring clear and timeous communication of risks when these arise.
    • Responsible for leading cross functional collaborative efforts to achieve Inbound RMS Supply performance targets focused on stock reduction,increased stock turns and improved order to delivery results.

    Accountabilities:

    • The role provides input to the National Supply Chain Manager to support functional strategy development and target setting.
    • Manages tactical and strategic RMS planning and delivery to accommodate production planning. It is inclusive of stock policy delivery,capacity utilization strategy and future product growth.
    • Participates and develops RMS planning input in the annual budget process, 3 year strategic plan & monthly/quarterly reviews.
    • Provides clear and visible communication on risks and opportunities,future RMS storage capacity requirements and investment horizon,seasonal storage capacity constraints and recommendations on potential solutions.
    • Deploys RMS planning Processes to the broader business in order to optimize inbound RMS flow and achieve production requirement needs consistently.
    • Support medium to long term planning & risk management through effective execution of the MRP process,focusing on developing & communicating long term usage requirement forecasts for procurement and external suppliers.
    • Executes the issue of the weekly purchase order list as generated by the MRP in line with plant capacities.
    • Weekly analysis & execution of back orders on the system, as well as analysis and identification of orders in need of expedition.
    • Expediting of exceptions to meet changes in production demand. Build supplier relationships to ensure there is flexibility is adhered to in an effort to achieve 98% OTIF.
    • Collaboration with FG supply planners to manager raw material inventory requirements according to the consensus forecast and weekly production plan, with the aim to achieve 100% raw material supply to plants.
    • Provides RMS planning input into new product development and promotional activities to ensure a smooth phase in/out of activities and inventories on raw materials by complating feasibility, assess capacity ,capability & constraints and developing a supply for NPD’s to ensure stock is positioned before first production date.
    • Develop,Implement and manage a run out matrix looking at anticipated change over dates, stock cover, shortages, obsoletes etc.
    • Support medium to long term risk management by providing input on RMS availability for the weekly Demand & supply magement meeting with Simba Directors and CEO in an effort to create transparency and an understanding of RMS service to plants as well as for the monthly iS&OP cycle.
    • Collaborates with cross functional teams to continuously improve raw material plans,waste,reduction,increased throughput efficiency and increased inventory turns.
    • Pro-actively implements change through the change management process and RMS FLM’s in the case of NPD launches and discontinuations.
    • Implement & Manage the company stock policy for inbound RMS Inclusive of leading tactical management of stock for one off events and daily management of adherence of safety stock levels as defined within the policy throughout the supply network.
    • Lead annual Review of RMS stock policy.
    • Produce freshness profiles to the business on a regular basis with the aim to seek solutions and minimize write offs.
    • Develop management reports on supplier capacities,inventories,change projects impacting strategy & planning as well as potential risks on supply and/or write offs
    • Resolve major supply issues and Incidences by involving all relevant departments.
    • Agree and put in place SLA’s with major suppliers and key internal customers such as manufacturing site teams,procurement and finished goods planning teams.
    • Implement & ensure monthly sessions held with manufacturing teams for the purpose of KPI review & continuous improvement activities.
    • Conduct and manage supplier performance against agreed KPI’s monthly in conjunction with procurement managers.
