    Assistant Director: Road Safety Management (2 posts available in Central Karoo & Overberg)

    Job Purpose

    • The Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape Government has opportunities for two (2) suitably qualified and competent individuals to develop operational and business plans that will include road safety awareness activities and interventions.
    • The prospective candidate, together with a small team that he or she will lead and manage, shall have to execute the plans, monitor the implementation of such plans, report, evaluate and adjust them whenever necessary.
    • The aim of the operational and business plans is to reduce human fatalities, road crashes and casualties in the respective area where the successful candidate shall serve operationally. These posts will be based in Central Karoo and Overberg.

    Minimum Requirements

    • An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher)
    • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in one or more of the following fields: Road safety education, Training, Law Enforcement, Developmental Communication or related field

    Recommendation

    JDMA Coordinator (1-year contract)

    Professional Surveyor (Production Level): Survey and Mapping

    Job Purpose

    Control Engineering Technician

    Job Purpose
