    Lecturer in Industrial Psychology

    Requirements:

    • Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology.
    • Three years teaching experience at a tertiary institution or five years professional experience in the relevant field.
    • Proven track record of publications and registered as an industrial psychologist will be an added advantage.

    Duties:

    • Deliver lectures of Human Resource Management & Labour Relations in the Department.
    • Supervise post graduate students.
    • Undertake original research and publish articles in journals and/or as book chapters.
    • Participate in University’s outreach community engagement programme.

    Senior Human Resource Business Partner

    Requirements

    An Honours degree or equivalent in Human Resources coupled with five years’  relevant experience preferably within the higher education sector. In addition, candidates should

    • Be competent in Microsoft suite and  have working knowledge of  HR Information Systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, ITS – preferable)
    • Be registered with an HR professional body.
    • Have effective communication and report writing skills as well as the ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders. 
    • Have solid technical knowledge on the full HR value chain
    • Have working knowledge of the HR standards
    • Be innovative and able to come up with strategies that enhances the Human Resources agenda. 
    • A valid driver’s license will be an added advantage. 

     

    Duties 

    The Senior Human Resources Business Partner will be responsible for  the following:

    • Interpreting the business and HR strategies, policies and guidelines.
    • Leading the implementation, enablement as well as the delivery of the HR agenda to the University.
    • Champion the implementation as well as best in class Human Resources activities
    • Enhance the attainment of university objectives as well as operational and service excellence.
    • Build a strong, collaborative and efficient team.
    • Establish and promote a collaborative and solution driven approach within the team as well as with other HR functions and the other internal departments as well as external stakeholders.
    • Optimally and efficiently manage allocated resources. The candidate will be expected to manage and mitigate risks.
    • Mentor junior staff
    • Analyse performance metrics 
    • Ensure compliance and data integrity.
    • Ensure efficient partnership with Faculties, Departments and Directorates and ensure alignment of HR goals and objectives with the strategies and needs of such Faculties, Departments and Directorates.
