    As part of a team who leverage AWS Services to build and deploy models to solve various business problems, you will be working on services like AWS Developer tools, CDK, CloudFormation, Lambda, API gateway and EKS among others.

    Sound knowledge on Spring boot, Spring integration & Spring Cloud. Should have sound knowledge in Java, Spring and AWS. Gathers business requirements, translating that information into detailed specifications from which programs will be written or configured. Design and implement new product features in support of Payments. Validate that the proposed applications align with both the architectural design and business needs. Responsible for troubleshooting and issue analysis, as well as coding, testing and implementing software enhancements. Provide input into architecture. Works well within an agile environment. Self-starter, should be curious and always learning. Passionate about the technologies you work with, and eager to keep up to date with the latest tools and technologies. Good understanding of Linux, AWS VPC and Networking concepts. Programming/scripting skills, ideally in Java. Strong troubleshooting skills. Good understanding of Kubernetes and containerization. 

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Tertiary degree in computer science, informatics or a related field

    Experience

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    To provide strategic vision, advise, plan, govern and report on the Product line / Business Solution technology solution to deliver on business outcomes. To deliver the end-to-end Product Line / Business Solutions technology mandate across the BU landscape , by integrating and managing the technology solution requirements and services delivered through the Group BU Technology providers. Ensure that Product technology solutions will lead to increased client experience & revenue generation taking into consideration all security and risks. To establish, innovate and oversee the relevant technology toolbox, in alignment with Group Technology, BU and country requirements, to deliver the desired client experience.

    Deliver the end-to-end Product Line / Business Solution technology mandate across the BU landscape and country, by integrating and managing the technology solution requirements and services delivered through the Group and BU Technology service providers. Lead the prioritisation, design, development and delivery of BU product technology solutions aligned to Technology strategy, enterprise-wide architecture, industry and technology changes. Create new standards to continuously improve the quality, efficiency and flexibility of solutioning. Develop and act as custodian of the Technology blueprint, overseeing the requisite toolbox (solutions, technology tools and standards, service providers) in collaboration with Business Unit to fit market needs. Incorporate fit for purpose technical architecture that supports the technology plan catering for tiered country requirements and objectives, in partnership with Enterprise Architecture. Innovate toolbox to achieve optimal Business Unit technology plan implementation and meet client needs, allowing BU to win in the market. Deliver the strategic Product line technology plan overseeing execution, quality of service and stability of solutions delivered in country and through shared execution capabilities (Group). Oversee, guide and support technology solution requirements and services delivered through the Group and BU Technology providers to ensure quality of service and stability of solutions,  that will focus on increased digital consistent customer experience. Accountable for the prioritisation of the features/solutions for the product / business solutions in collaboration with business. Collaborate, provide input and package complex solution designs (considering the full IT stack) so that the end-to-end solution is practical, useable, meets the technology plan and is fit for purpose. Authorise at a Product Line / Business Solution level the allocation of resources for the planning, development and delivery, as appropriate, of contracted services, setting the strategy for resource management to respond cost effectively within capacity models. Drive execution excellence by focusing on Agile principles, employing DEVOPS and system team constructs, growing competency and fungibility of capabilities. Recommend the sequence and timeframes for delivery of features/solutions by communicating delivery constraints, through engagement with the relevant BU owners.  Monitor the delivery of features against the defined release plan by reporting the status of the delivery against service demand. Forecast, facilitate, build capacity plans and decide upon appropriate insourcing and outsourcing models to support the contracted services and delivery requirements on the platform. Facilitate and articulate the trade-off decisions between the technology strategies , roadmaps or requirements and objectives and Group Technology and BU strategy by engaging all key stakeholders. Lead appropriate response and service management capabilities in conjunction with the relevant CTO and BU stakeholders satisfying service stability, restoration and fulfilment requirements. Define appropriate portfolio related, platform, infrastructure and monitoring services and expectations for delivery across the BU.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Post Graduate Degree: Information Studies/Information Technology

    Experience Required

    • 8-10 years Knowledge of Agile and Lean frameworks, methods and practices and experience in being a catalyst for organisational change. Leadership/ management experience working with individuals and teams from diverse cultures.
    • 5-7 years Experience in full lifecycle design and development covering multi-tier environments and markets.
    • 8-10 years Significant experience managing technology in  large multi-dimensional corporate environment. Managing delivery of  3rd parties and Africa Region experience. Accountable for the recruitment, development, motivation, and retention of marketing staff ensuring the team is adequately staffed and skilled to deliver on the marketing plan.
    • Partner with Human Capital to ensure skills assessments and competency-based training takes place as and when required to build expertise within the team and to foster an environment in which leaning, and development are emphasised and valued.
    • Build organisational capabilities through evaluating likely future requirements and ensuring that individuals are provided with the best possible development opportunities in line with these.

    Product:

    • Provide strategic direction to all third party agencies working on the business units marketing inclusive of but not limited to advertising, digital, promotions and media agencies ensuring all marketing activities contribute to the Wealth strategy and continuously drive proof points of Wealth and Investment and Investment and Acquisitions capabilities.
    • Provide input into the development of new markets and propositions within the various business units to support the continued relevance of the various business units' offering.
    • Direct and oversee all marketing related activities and functions including direct marketing, digital and social media marketing, public relations, events, sponsorships and market research ensuring effective implementation in line with the marketing plan.

    Strategy:

    • Develop and implement marketing strategies, inclusive of a communications, public relations, marketing and digital and social media strategy, for the Wealth and Investment business unit
    • Develop an in-depth understanding of the various business unit strategies, plans and objectives in order to develop marketing strategies in line with the business needs, Standard Bank Groups Marketing and Comms strategy and overall Wealth Marketing strategy.
    • Develop global marketing strategies with local execution and create centre of excellence where appropriate to drive agile adoption of marketing practices from one jurisdiction to the other.

    • Drive the development and implementation of a digital marketing strategy.
