    HR Practitioner - Randfontein

    Job Description

    RCL FOODS is seeking an HR Practitioner to join our Groceries Division. The role will be based in Randfontein and report to the HR Business Partner. RCL FOODS is looking for an incumbent to ensure effective Human Resources support to the business unit/factory through adequate delivery of HR Services, practices and procedures.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree – Human Resources

    Valid Driver’s License, vehicle & willingness to travel

    • Minimum of 4 years of HR Generalist Experience & wide exposure to ER

    Exposure to SAP advantageous

    Duties & Responsibilities

    Employee Relations

    • Provide advice to line managers regarding conduct and misconduct management processes.
    • Provide advice to line managers and investigate/process disciplinary cases/grievances.
    • Participate in consultations and meetings with organised labour; i.e. wage negotiations.
    • Build strong social partnerships with recognised unions and their officials 

    Manage Change management process

    • Represent the business at the CCMA during conciliation & arbitration processes
    • Resourcing

    Coordinate all recruitment activities

    • Manage new employee onboarding process, including preparation of personnel file at DOE.
    • Analyse the skills and qualities required for each particular job and develop job profiles.

    Organisational Development

    • Coordinate planned and unplanned OD initiatives
    • Record all OD activities for WSP.
    • Partner with the Learning team to optimise learning opportunities in the business
    • Build a high-performance culture in the business

    Employment Equity

    • Ensure compliance with EE Act into workplace policies and practices
    • Drive RCL EE policy and targets

    Coordinate and record EE quarterly meetings.

    Talent Management

    • Manage the performance appraisal process.
    • Drive the succession planning for the site/region.

    Support T&O process

    • Health and Safety Compliance
    • Manage the IOD / Minor injury treatment process and reporting.
    • Provide input for statutory reporting (IOD and WCA).
    • Represent HR and meaningfully input at OHS monthly forum.

    HR Administration

    • Manage terminations and exit interviews.
    • Ensure proper maintenance of employee records relating to contracts, remuneration, allowances, leave, training and performance appraisals and prepare associated management reports.
    • Manage the accurate processing of leave taken in accordance with Leave Policy
    • Maintain accurate T&A recording system
    • Process accurate monthly timesheets to HRSS
    • Manage the capturing of HR information and data into the relevant systems and assure the integrity of the data.
    • Provide advice and information to management and employees on HR policies and procedures, including equal opportunity, anti-discrimination and occupational health and safety programmes.
    • Advise management on work matters, career development, personal problems and industrial matters.
    • Drive necessary organisational changes (e.g. those following from industrial relations legislation, revised job classification structures or technological changes).
    • Counsel employees on policies and rules relating to employment policies and programmes, and on the company’s rules and regulations.
    • Prepare and process employment and personnel reports and surveys.
    • Ensure statutory compliance with BCEA, LRA, SDA and OHS Act

    Technical Buyer

    Job Description

    The role will report to the Chief Buyer and will based at the Pongola Sugar Mill.

    The purpose of this position is to perform buying tasks by obtaining quotations, checking prices and commodity descriptions, seeking authority, and following up on orders, attending to preparation of specific documents and information in relation to tenders and resolving queries.

    Minimum Requirements

    • National Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Materials Management or equivalent qualifications.
    • 3 Years’ experience in a heavy industry/technical manufacturing environment as a Buyer/Planner.

    Computer Literate - MS Office (Excel, Word).

    Clients oriented and a team player.

    • SAP proficiency on Materials Management module (SAP MM) will be distinct advantage.
    • To be considered for appointment, candidate must be a South African citizen.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Obtaining quotations from the approved suppliers as indicated on the vendor listing based on purchase requests received from clients.
    • Forwarding quotations to the clients with a motivation on the options on supplier preference.
    • Obtaining and following up on the relevant authorisation prior to proceeding with creating an order.
    • Creating orders on the system by inserting the relevant details e.g., price, delivery date.
    • Forwarding the order to the suppler and obtaining confirmation of receipt.
    • Obtain tender/project requests and scope of work from the clients.
    • Preparing the Rules of Tender documentation pack.
    • Arranging site visits and meetings with Tenderers.
    • Compiling tender adjudications and recommendations based on Tenders submitted.
    • Requesting for the creation of a new vendors on the system by making the details of the vendors available.
    • Application of Procurement SOP’s and BBBEE Policies.
    • Adhering safety rules during the execution tasks.
    • Providing reasons for specific incidents or applications during incident/ accident investigations.

    Quality Control Monitor

    Job Description

    RCL FOODS is on the lookout for a Quality Control Monitorto join our Group Services Division. The role will be based at Speciality Spartan and reports to the Senior Quality Assurance Technologist. RCL foods is looking for a highly organised and skilled individual who can deliver results, meet the customers’ expectations and work well under handle pressure.

    Matric, Quality/Food Safety tertiary qualification

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Monitoring daily production processes
    • Complete daily production process check sheets
    • Monitoring temperature of product and of equipment
    • Monitoring all foreign objects (Glass & hard, pest, metal and other)
    • Monitoring packaging integrity
    • Monitoring final product shelf life, weights and Work in progress aspects
    • Monitoring cleaning and basic hygiene including house keeping
    • Monitoring and ensuring  traceability records are completed by relevant personnel
    • Monitoring of metal detection and ensure its efficiently working
    • Conducting product QC assessment (evaluation) for both beginning and end of shelf life
    • Truck Inspection and dispatching of final product
    • Final product sample collection for WW QC samples and for micro testing
    • Scale verifications
    • Take part in factory trials
    • Assist in investigation by retrieving records of production date in question
    • Filling and compiling daily document sheets
    • Conduct allergens/cleaning verification tests and conduct positive release
