    Inclusive Procurement Manager - Supplier Development

    Job Description:

    Lead the development and deployment of a strategic partnering and supplier development approach that will capacitate communities, create velocity and drive scale to contribute to the Living Mine in Southern Africa.

    Your duties will include:

    • Provide Safety, Health & Environment leadership when delivering on goals, ambitions and activities to ensure safety, health and wellbeing at work and at home.
    • Provide Inclusive Procurement contributions to the overall Supply Chain business strategy, particularly pertaining to creative partnering and robust supplier development.
    • Develop, deploy and maintain our AA strategic approach/framework to supplier development through an Inclusive Procurement lens (internal, external and governmental) that will elevate the programme, create velocity, leverage regional and national scale and ensure sustainability beyond mine closure.
    • Operationalise the supplier development framework, delivering co-ordinated monthly performance management routines in partnership with our Supply Chain and Social Performance teams in our Southern African Business Units
    • Support Supply Chain regions/BUs/teams to translate the strategy into area specific critical tasks, performance targets, plans and budgets, ensuring it is responsive to local nuances, realities and changing, volatile environments.
    • Support the development of a change, engagement & communication plan that will support the effective deployment of the strategy, achievement of our ambitions and celebrate achievements.
    • Provide area-specific input to the overall Inclusive Procurement scorecard and targets and support the tracking of performance against these.
    • Provide input to category portfolio and value delivery planning, support global category strategy development, commercial & initiative plans and agreements to ensure formal commitment are embedded..

    Qualifications:

    Requirements:

    • An undergraduate qualification - Bachelor degree level or equivalen
    • Desirable: A postgraduate qualification (Honours/ Masters degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline OR a proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity

    Experience:

    • Strategy development and execution
    • Incubation and enterprise/supplier development
    • Good Commercial experience in mining/large scale projects AND/OR small-medium enterprise financial sustainability 
    • Knowledge of Regulatory and Legislative Frameworks pertaining to Southern African Procurement
    •  Continuous Supply Chain improvement and optimisation

    Gss Finance Lead: Africa - Rosebank

    Job Description:

    Lead the GSS Finance Service Line across Africa, delivering shared financial services for all Anglo American businesses in the region to agreed service levels and cost targets. Responsible for identifying and implementing appropriate new services and transitioning any new work to the GSS service model. Also responsible for managing and developing a world class delivery teams. 

    • Supports the Head of GSS Finance to deliver on the vision of being a world class shared services business – delivering cost effective and quality service for all Anglo American businesses in the EMEA region.
    • Supports the Head of GSS Finance to deliver appropriate operational performance transformations to improve delivery or efficiency – as directed by the GSS Finance Strategy.
    • Builds and leads a high performing EMEA team of GSS Finance service line leads and professionals  
    • Ensures GSS alignment to business priorities, projects and service levels delivery according to the Shared Services vision.
    • Supports the Head of GSS in identifying Finance Services’ initiatives to enhance the Operations value.
    • Supports the implementation of transformation and change programmes.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Finance, Engineering, Commerce)

    Technical Knowledge:

    • Experience in leading operations transformations in a process driven environment.
    • Senior Management experience in a process driven function or operation.
    • Shared Services & BPO Industry experience not required.
    • Demonstrated ability to drive successful business process service delivery with a continuous improvement focus.
    • Proven ability to drive multi-dimensional transformational change.
    • Exceptional track record of managing, developing and mentoring people to achieve organisational objectives in a services centric organisation.
    • Proven ability interfacing with and influencing senior executives in other functions.

    Commercial Advisor (Processing & Mro)

    The Role

    We are looking for a Commercial Advisor – Processing & MRO (Maintenance, Repair, Overhauls). This role ideally suits a category specialist across processing, maintenance, repair or overhauls categories. This incumbent will provide efficient and effective commercial activities relating to the respective categories that delivers improved business performance through commercial agreements, enabling innovation, supplier partnering and internal stakeholder collaboration.

    Key role requirements:

    Commercial Value Delivery & Supplier Partnering 

    • Support the development of category, sourcing and contracting strategies and plans through data gathering and analysis and responsibly execute allocated sourcing & contracting activities.
    • Maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, to drive step change in value and deliver innovative solutions that position Anglo American as a partner of choice. 
    • Support the implementation of commercial strategies to support business needs and improve value delivery. 
    • Provide support with regards to negotiations and finalising GFAs (General Framework Agreements) 

    Planning 

    • Actively track commercial dashboard KPIs and proactively address and escalate issues.
    • Provide support with the development of category strategies though the analysis and gathering of data.
    • Identify, enable & track value and inclusive procurement opportunities, commercial initiatives and specific resource requirements.
    • Execute relevant project procurement activities in a timely and visible manner. 

    Sourcing & Contracts Management  

    • Responsible for compiling and executing allocated sourcing events, contracting and contract management (including administration), supplier/contract performance management and initiative management.
    • Implement value delivery plans for routine and tactical sourcing & contracting and contractor management activities. 
    • Create proactive visibility and continuous improvement of sourcing and contracts pipeline related to allocated portfolio.

    Commercial Agreements

    • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, to drive step change in value and deliver innovative solutions.
    • Provide support regarding supplier performance management of select suppliers and address escalated issues.

    Stakeholder & Supplier Management

    • Adopt new ways of working and systems usage within team regarding suppliers and key stakeholders. 
    • Support the relevant Business Partner to track and update supplier performance, based on contractual KPIs. 

    Contractor Management

    • Support with the development of supplier scorecards, monitoring of supplier performance, interpretation of performance data and development of insights.  
    • Monitor the commercial performance of suppliers, escalate issues and drive resolution.
    • Participate in quarterly review / performance meetings.  

    Qualifications:

    Formal Qualifications

    • A Bachelors degree.

    Technical skills / knowledge requirements:

    • Strong experience with SAP Ariba and, ideally, Celonis.
    • Experience d Excel user and strong with data analysis and interpretation.
    • Ideally experienced with Processing, maintenance, repair and overhaul categories.
    • Preferably experienced with the mining / mineral processing industry.
    • Good technical knowledge across the SC value chain
    • Experienced across Sourcing and Contracting
    • Ability to integrate Commercial, PSC, Supplier Management & Purchasing sub disciplines.
    • Safety & Sustainability as it relates to Supply Chain & Inclusive Procurement 
    • Strong commercial and business case development
    • Strong negotiation skills.
    • Experience with Supplier Relationship Management / Stakeholder Management
