    Category Manager - Dairy & Plant Based

    Role Summary:

    • We are actively looking for our future Category Manager for Dairy Beverages, who will support the Nutrition Category Lead for Africa to drive the agenda of exponential growth in Value Added Dairy & Plant Based Beverages across the continent.

    Focus, Scope, & Impact:

    • Help develop long & mid-term (2-3 years) business/brand plans identifying business objectives, strategies, key initiatives and performance measurements by using insights collected from situation assessment, marketplace information, etc. in order to support AOU category and brand growth targets.
    • Assess attractive local (AOU) consumer opportunities, by leveraging consumer research in order to identify new volume and profit growth areas , illuminate the category & brand potential and strategy to inspire key customers and bottlers to drive support and commercial acceleration of brands in key markets and retail channels
    • Identify key business priorities and work with cross-functional partners and agencies to bring brand and retail marketing programs and supporting materials to the marketplace.
    • Lead cross-functional teams on work assignments and tasks; provide direction and manage timeline milestones to achieve KPIs and desired objectives.
    • Help manage category & brand NR, GP, DME to deliver AOU growth and financial targets.
    • Develop programs and secure required budget in order to execute category & brand plans.  Where applicable, ensure appropriate implementation of global/regional direction into local execution.

    Education Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree

    Related Work Experience:

    • 5 - 7 years of brand management / marketing experience.  CPG experience a plus.

    HR Business Partner

    Position Overview:

    • The HR Manager/ SBP is responsible for partnering with the business leaders, COE and Associate Services in building the BU capabilities for driving sustainable, profitable business growth. Through HR thought leadership, s/he is responsible for building a BU culture and operating environment that is conducive to attracting, developing and retaining - the “Best in Class” talent.

    Consumer Marketing Data, Diagnostics and Protocols, Manager

    What You’ll Do for Us:  

    DIAGNOSTIC AND PROTOCOL MANAGEMENT 

    • Support management of all steps in developing, maintaining, and enhancing large scale consumer tracking studies from gathering of insight objectives, sample design, questionnaire development, supplier management, analysis plan development to platform rollout and training.
    • Support the relationship with current data suppliers, partnering with Operating Units and Global Platform Services teams, guaranteeing optimal service delivery and enhancement of identified marketing consumer diagnostics and protocols.
    • Be a partner to Marketing Platform Services Analytics team, Platform Services Data and Technology teams, OU Human & Commercial Insights teams, OU Strategy and Category partners. 
    • Work with the above to assess diagnostics and foundational protocol needs. Support development and maintenance of required diagnostics and foundational protocols at the local OU and global level.

    GLOBAL LIAISON & ALIGNMENT – PLATFORM SERVICES 

    • Sync Africa OU with Global Team standards and ways of working including protocol alignment.  
    • Input into the shaping of protocols to deliver the best consumer data landscape for the whole TCCC system, effectively promoting innovation, data scalability and standardization. 

    INDUCTION & TRAINING 

    • Support agencies in running trainings of Africa OU associates on datasets, access, independent analysis, and interpretation of diagnostics and protocols.  
    • Promote the data to ensure it is embraced and used appropriately to produce excellent business outcomes. 

    BUSINESS REPORTING/DATABASE MANAGEMENT 

    • Define data delivery requirements, ingestion, cleaning, metric construction, data harmonization (GTC) and warehousing so that data is consistent, comparable, and accurate across our foundational protocol consumer information base.  

    BUDGET + QUALITY CONTROL 

    • Africa and Platform Services Foundational Protocol Budget Management Support including Budget/ PO/ SOW management. Working with the OU and Platform Services Procurement and Finance teams to ensure finance process adherence. 
    • Working with our core providers across Consumer Performance to ensure quality questionnaire/stimulus translation including Brand/Attribute/Module Updates/Sampling design 
    • Data quality investigation (sample design, universe update, ad hoc research to validate, etc.)  

    PROJECT MANAGEMENT 

    • Define and project manage standard protocols in the Consumer Tracking/Landscape for the OU 
    • Africa OU point of contact for Global Platform Services Marketing Consumer Data Diagnostics and Protocols Team

    Qualifications & Requirements:    

    Functional Skills:  

    • Marketing Research Skills:  In-depth knowledge of sampling methods and proven ability to design and manage large, ongoing, research platforms.
    • Analytic Skills:  Ability to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to identify patterns, opportunities, and gaps, and integrate across disparate data sources to solve business problems
    • Knowledge of analytic techniques such as Cluster Analysis, Factor Analysis, Segmentation Techniques, and Statistical Testing.
    • Custom Marketing Research Capability:  Ability to support development and direction of custom research projects; ability to explain and interpret data in a way that is meaningful to business needs.
    • Research Knowledge: Knowledge of industry and customer research resources (e.g., Nielsen, Spectra, CREST, etc.) and a basic knowledge of methods for gathering information (i.e., survey techniques). Knowledge of KO proprietary studies a plus.
    • Presentation Skills:  Proven presentation skills to convey insights and training material.
    • Communication Skills:  Ability to communicate complex information and implications both verbally- in interactions with senior leaders, and in written presentations utilizing "storytelling techniques" to communicate a clear, compelling, and cohesive story.
    • Network/Resources and Cross Functional Relationships: Ability to develop diverse network/resources to leverage "best in class" knowledge, approaches, and processes.  Must be able to support leading teams of internal and external resources strategically and operationally 
    • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and handle conflicting priorities.  
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook is required. Experience with and working knowledge of statistics packages (R, SPSS, Python, SAS, etc.) and data manipulation (SQL, etc.) is a big plus  
    • Related Work Experience:  Minimum of 6 years of work experience with marketing research expertise. The required focus is on the relevance of the recent work they've done as it pertains to this role. Needs to have experience working across teams and geographies in a complex, global environment leading or leveraging teams of internal and external resources. Experience in a global role preferred. Ideally needs to have worked in roles that have developed both strategic and operations capability.

    Franchise Senior Manager, CCBA

    Position Overview:

    • Lead the Franchise or Region team and provide commercial expertise to drive the business plan successfully working with our bottling partners.  Co-ordinate all Marketing, Commercial and Franchise activities across a geographic location to achieve volume and share objectives through supporting the execution of the Bottler Business Plan (BBP).  Leverage functional support and expertise to address opportunities or issues quickly – Marketing, Commercial, Legal, PAC, Technical, Finance or HR.

    Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

    Strategy and Business Performance:

    • Input into the BBP and implement 3 year BP and annual BP for assigned geography aligning bottler around key investment commitments.
    • Approve and ensure execution of annual BBP(s) – manage opportunities and issues arising with Bottler Leadership Team.
    • Approve and ensure execution of annual Customer Business Plans.

    Finance:

    • Manage P&L for the Region ensuring delivery of the Profit, Volume and Share numbers.
    • Ensure adherence to Local Chart of Authority, financial governance standards and management of Opex locally.
    • Effectively adjust and correct during the annual cycle to ensure delivery of profit number.
    • Manage DME spend and ensure a ROI

    Market Execution and Commercial Excellence:

    • Identify commercial and market development improvement initiatives to drive incremental volume, profit or share.
    • Ensure the Region or territory OBPPC is optimized leveraging Conjoint analysis and the BU experts.
    • Drive the RED agenda with the bottling partner(s)ensuring it is embedded into organizational culture.
    • Actively pursue opportunities to improve our Route to Market, leveraging best practices.
    • Ensure application of consumer programs designed to enhance consumer brand equity.
    • Drive horizontal expansion through outlet creation incentive programmes.

    Manage Capacity to Produce and Distribute:

    • Lead the conversations with our bottling partners to agree investment levels to meet demand.
    • Plan three years ahead for investment in Capacity, Glass and Coolers.
    • Lead the Quality agenda at the [plants ensuring we meet our Package and Product quality metrics.
    • Monitor capacity performance to anticipate opportunities or challenges in the Supply Chain.

    Franchise Leadership:

    • Build value based and strategic “win-win” relationships with System partners at Bottler leadership team and regional levels.
    • Lead strategic System capability planning to ensure we have the Processes, Organisation, Technology, Culture and People to deliver three year commitments.

    People Leadership:

    • Motivate and lead the Region Team and any dotted line functional support to deliver the Long Range and Annual Business Plan.
    • Build System and team capability to ensure our team continues to lead the market and build the careers of our Associates.
    • Effectively manage all people processes to a high quality, on time and on budget – training, performance management, organizational changes etc.

    External Stakeholders and Sustainability:

    • Represent the Company to all external stakeholders and all KO events.
    • Manage the profile and reputation of the company and lobby Governments with the support of PAC.
    • Lead the Workplace Rights and Human Rights agenda with bottling partner(s).
    • Assist fully in the execution of community programs designed to enhance KO reputation within the community.

    Education Requirements:
    Bachelor's Degree

    Related Work Experience:

    • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience with a FMCG Company with at least 3 years in Operations.
    • Functional experience would be an advantage.
    • Bottler experiences an added advantage.

    Functional Skills:

    • CULTURAL DIVERSITY: Ability to balance interaction at multiple levels from Bottler Senior Management to sales force to retailers requires cultural sensitivity. Work effectively in a challenging Franchise environment building alignment whilst also managing the TCCC P&L.
    • ANALYSIS: Faced with strategic problems encompassing the full Supply Chain of the business and with different levels of complexity and urgency. Requiring ability to identify and summarize key issues and gain alignment with the Bottler during the execution phase of agreed programs. Monitoring and measurement as per the reporting requirements.
    • JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING: The Franchise Manager is responsible for building the Long Range Plan for the Region and thus making decisions that materially impact the P&L on a regular basis.
    • Decisions will also impact the reputation of the Company in the market place and the relationship with bottling partners, Customers, Vendors, Suppliers, Governments and NGOs.
