    Demand and Supply Optimisation Planner

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Generate the unconstrained demand forecast for finished products at SKU level in close collaboration with Sales & Marketing and via statistical models and trend tools.
    • Timely management of portfolio changes in the planning system
    • Active participation in production capacity assessment meetings
    • Drives CI initiatives to automate & improve demand signals ultimately contributing to CSI (Cusomer Service Index) improvement
    • Develops & Maintains Demand Planning Team Dashboards along with complex ad-hoc reports, while also supporting migration to automate.
    • Coordinate Demand Planning activities for GKAs/KAs (Key Account) in South Africa while  identifying risks & opportunities for improvement in providing feedback loop into Sales & Marketing and Supply Planning Team.
    • Leads local STEMs [Short Term Event Management] processes - responsible for STEM team setup, ensures STEM team has identified the root cause, develop and implement mitigations, coordinate demand allocation on time, defines communication to stakeholders.
    • Optimisation of the network: Responsible to ensure regional optimisation of the supply network proposing sourcing decisions that drive lowest end to end costs. Support introduction of new products to market understanding optimal source location. The candidate will work closely with plants & logistics to ensure that throughput across the network is optimal, understanding bottlenecks and presenting cost/benefits analysis of solutions which could be implemented 
    • DDS&OP cycle: Support/Lead the DDS&OP cycle to ensure we have a clear monthly overview of the forward supply and demand reconciled at the plant level. Make the right choices to ensure we can meet the plan. Bringing together a diverse group of stakeholders (demand planning, logistics, supply planning etc) and complex information to drive decisions that support the growth journey. As Buffer Manager the candidate is responsible for Finished Goods Inventory policy & management
    • Stakeholder Management:  The candidate works with cross functional stakeholders in demand planning, PLM, Finance, Logistics, Marketing, Sales, Product Management and LSC chain to drive improvement in E2E value and works with global teams to unlock further opportunities 
    • Continuous Improvement:  The Demand & Supply Optimisation Planner fosters a culture of embedding value based thinking and behaviours in the business. EMEA has migrated to DDMRP planning methodology, the Demand & Supply Optimisation Planner is key to supporting value delivery through optimising inventory buffers
    • Analytical skills/Value Realisation: The Demand & Supply Optimisation Planner will be responsible for analysis of sourcing choices in the network working with various Value Delivery software suites focusing on creating a resilient, cost efficient network whilst maintaining optimum inventory levels that support customer service levels 

    What we need from you?

    The ideal candidate is expected to have the following attributes:

    • Must have at least 6 yrs relevant experience
    • A Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, Commerce and alike)
    • Exceptional analytical capabilities with strong command of Excel
    • Proven record of results delivery in a physical and virtual environment
    • Evidence of strong communication & stakeholder management skills
    • Experience in crisis management
    • Experience with integrated SAP/ERP systems
    • Supply Chain planning experience
    • Knowledge of Planning Tools (ex. APO) is an advantage
    • Knowledge of VBA / Power BI is an advantage
    • Excellent presentation skills along with PowerPoint knowledge
    • Proactive and goal-oriented approach
    • Extensive supply chain experience
    • CDDP/CDDL certification (can be obtained in role)
    • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, including use of analytics support tools
    • Ability to work with diverse group of stakeholders
    • Lubricants business knowledge would be advantageous
    • Knowledge of Supply Chain asset capacity management & cost levers would be advantageous

    Pricing Analyst

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Ensuring all daily/ Monthly/ Ad hoc pricing support to sales with master data update.
    • Ensuring price change communication with implementation in GSAP
    • Ensuring Formula contracts review, effective roll-out of formula change and tracking in collaboration with sales.
    • Managing sales queries on Aureus support
    • Assisting business to control the accuracy of the prices loaded in GSAP
    • Sending Deal status reports to respective action owners in Sales to close the deals and ensure deadlines are met.
    • Managing GSAP incorrect pricing/ list price billing that is causing Billing Blocks and ensure these are addressed by the respective sales focal ensuring accurate invoicing.
    • Analyse historical financial data, cost movements and structures to support pricing decisions.
    • Support in creating models/scenarios to assess revenue/margin and profitability 
    • Monitor the financial performance of implemented pricing strategies, analysing actual outcomes vs projected results.
    • Running the Pricing MILO, sharing key insights on raw material and Fx impact on pricing.
    • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and pricing data used in analysis and decision making.

    What we need from you?

    • Degree B.com or B.Sc / master’s in business management
    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel / PowerPoint is mandatory.
    • At least 5 years relevant experience
    • Experienced in Data Analysis and Power BI Implementation
    • Strong analytical capability, curious in nature, proactive mindset, can do attitude and prepared to intelligently challenge eon deals
    • Experience in GSAP is a plus.
    • Proven commercial mindset to drive value from opportunities.
    • Can independently translate market study insights into actions and opportunities.
    • Passionate about our customers and delivering customer value & relevance.

    Territory Manager - Gauteng & Surrounds

    What’s the role?

    The Role of a Territory Manager (TM) As a TM you will manage a territory within a defined geography, on average the territory will consist of  30-35 service stations. The TM is accountable for maximising value & profit for Shell and delivering the agreed business plans of:

    • Targeted Fuel volume in litres
    •  Targeted Fuel C4 margin 
    •  Driving premium fuel volume penetration of 75%
    • Non-Fuel Retail (NFR) turnover and proceeds of 50%

    The TM will have a detailed understanding of the relevant contracts (FA & RSA) and ensure that the Independent Retailers are actively managed, using the correct governance, to deliver strong commercial results, achieving or overachieving the joint business plan including:

    • Fuel Volume, Convenience Retail sales & Lubricant Sales targets
    • HSSE targets including Shell Life Saving Rules, Site Safety and Food Handling / Food Safety
    • Customer Measures of Treated Like a Guest (TLAG), Voice of the Customer and Site Essentials
    • Brand Standards, including the Brand Essentials

    What we need from you?

    • A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales or an equivalent
    • At least 5 years of relevant experience in an Oil and Gas industry
    • Must have a valid South African  Driver’s License
    • Skills in the following: Contract management, Leadership and people skills, Driving profit, Commercial acumen, Negotiating skills, Indirect channel management (ideally in a retail environment), Customer Value Proposition (CVP) implementation, Partner Value Proposition (PVP) implementation, Performance management, Collaboration
    • Commercial acumen and the ability to translate data into clear insights, being able to conduct in-depth commercial discussions with a Retailer using data and insights to gain commitment for action
    • Performance driven, you need to be driven to succeed. Your ability to take direction and translate that into commercial discussions with the Retailer/Dealer, is essential
    • Relationship management and people skills, these will allow you deliver success through others
    • Ability to effectively manage priorities, in any given period you will be involved in many activities and the ability to prioritise and deliver is key
    • Channel management, the relationship with the end customer is conducted through the Retailer/Dealer so an understanding of the legal framework is vital
    • Strong negotiating skills, ensuring that negotiations are strong and fair & that the outcome delivers bottom line results for Shell
    • Coaching experience, the ability to coach the Retailer/Dealer to deliver the mutual business plan and drive for growth
    • Performance and contract management skills, recognising good performance and addressing any gaps in performance swiftly to ensure delivery of goals is completed, using the contract to remind both parties of the commitments
    • Stakeholder management skills, manage a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
