    Intern Real Estate Agent - Cape Town Northern Suburbs (Kraaifontein)

    Key Responsibilities

    As a pivotal member of our team, you will:

    • Utilise your negotiation and selling prowess to close deals effectively;
    • Bring your ambition, drive, and charisma to every client interaction;
    • Maintain positive, lasting relationships with clients and colleagues through excellent communication skills;
    • Demonstrate strong organisational skills to manage multiple properties seamlessly;
    • Embrace responsibility and show a willingness to take initiative;
    • Enjoy the flexibility of traveling and working outside the office environment, with a full driving license and own reliable car;
    • Cultivate a deep understanding and interest in the local property market and the buying process.

    Responsibilities

    • Guide sellers and buyers, assisting them in marketing and purchasing property at the right price and terms;
    • Understand clients' financial capabilities to offer tailored solutions;
    • Facilitate negotiation processes, advising on market conditions, pricing, mortgages, and legalities to ensure fair and honest transactions;
    • Conduct comparative market analyses to accurately estimate property values;
    • Strategically market real property to potential buyers and prepare essential documentation;
    • Keep up-to-date listings of available properties and develop professional networks with attorneys and mortgage lenders;
    • Drive sales through various channels, including advertisements, open houses, and listing services;
    • Stay informed about real estate market trends and best practices;

    Key Competencies

    • Ownership of a reliable personal vehicle and valid drivers license;
    • Access to personal devices like a mobile phone and laptop;
    • Residency in or around Kraaifontein;
    • Independent working style with exceptional interpersonal skills;
    • Proven sales, negotiation, and communication abilities;
    • A friendly, trustworthy demeanor;
    • Proficiency in MS Office.

    Education & Experience

    • A Matric certificate is required.
    • There are several requirements that need to be fulfilled in order to obtain a Real Estate Qualification:
    • Register with the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA)
    • Obtain Candidate Estate Agent Fidelity Fund Certificate (FFC)
    • Complete accredited NQF 4 qualification
    • Compile a Logbook
    • Write the PDE Exam
    • Previous experience in real estate is preferred but not essential.

    Fully Qualified Real Estate Agent - Onrus

    Key Responsibilities

    • Collect information about properties and enrich your data base (lead generation);
    • Canvas properties to sell;
    • Engage with sellers and must be able to talk knowledgably about their property and area;
    • Arrange for photography and home staging;
    • Possess a through working knowledge of the area and the prevailing trends of the real estate industry in the area;
    • Evaluation – able to apply sound principles when estimating the value of a property;
    • Organize and attend show days;
    • The ability to secure exclusive mandates and knowledgeably be able to talk about home pricing;
    • Be familiar with developing and presenting a marketing plan for a property;
    • Represent the seller in negotiations with potential buyers;
    • Monitor sales and liaise with all stakeholders including mortgage brokers, conveyancers, and other estate agents;
    • Keep abreast of trends in the local residential property market as well as national trends which impact on the market.

    Education & Experience

    • Possess a valid Fidelity Fund Certificate and have completed all stipulated PPRA educational and CPD requirements;
    • Must be in possession of valid driver’s license and your own reliable transport;
    • Must live in Hermanus and Onrus preferably in the specific area of operation;
    • Must have your own laptop or tablet and cell phone;
    • Must be able to sustain yourself financially for 6 to 8 months before commission revenue flows.

    Knowledge & Skills Required

    • Articulate with excellent communication skills, both written and spoken;
    • Must be digitally savvy and comfortable doing business with your mobile phone or device;
    • Computer literate with a sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite;
    • Must be comfortable with Social Media and have sound knowledge of using WhatsApp as a marketing tool.
