    Pharmacist - Century City

    The duties and responsibilities of the Pharmacist will include, but not limited to:

    • The Pharmacist will support all NACOSA’s clinical related work, with specific deliverables related to the People Who Use Drugs Programme (PWUD), AYP (Adolescent Young People), SIB (Social Impact Bond).
    • Review and update clinical process and documents in line with SANC and Pharmacy Council Guidelines
    • Review our PSM (Procurement and Supply Management) plan to update and scrutinize whether all the Pharmacy guidelines are covered to ensure compliance.
    • Assist with the process of reviewing and update Pharmaceutical and clinical-related standard operating procedures.
    • Assist to review the current Health Product list and recommend updates or changes to ensure that the health care needs are effectively addressed.
    • Work with various sub-recipient organisations to support the implementation of their Prep Plan and advise on processes to ensure the necessary licenses are in place so that the plan can be executed while remaining compliant to legislation.
    • Assist to review and update training material on pharmaceutical related matters.
    • Guide and support the process to ensure dispensing licenses are in place at sub-recipient level where needed.
    • Perform a general review of the level of compliance with pharmaceutical regulations across sub-recipients and provide recommendations to ensure compliance.
    • Provide mentoring and support to NACOSA.
    • Ensure quality assurance as per Global Fund requirements.
    • Specific Deliverables related to the People who use drugs (PWUD) programme.
    • Design a NACOSA Standard operating procedure to support Clinical staff based at sub-recipient level regarding OST (Opioid Substitution Therapy)
    • Advise on the best practice methods to implement Methadone destruction policy.
    • Support the sub-recipient staff on general queries and support as may be needed from time to time.
    • Design training materials to focus on the specific challenges related to the PWID Programme.

    Requirements

    Required qualifications, skills, and experience.

    • Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm)
    • Registration with Pharmacy Council.
    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar NGO, clinical programmes, or clinical health care setting
    • A thorough working understanding HIV/AIDS/TB/STI and COVID-19
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Previous experience as specialist as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
    • Experience in Capacity Building and Training related to pharmaceutical matters.
    • Provide technical guidance to implementers and programme/clinical staff.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in one or more South African languages besides English a distinct advantage.
    • Understanding of the NGO sector and knowledge of big donor processes/requirements will be a benefit.
    • South African national or permanent residence is preferred. 
    • Valid driver’s license.
    • Willingness to travel regularly in South-Africa (travel cost to be covered)

    Professional Nurse - Moretele

    The duties and responsibilities of the Professional Nurse will include, but not limited to:

    • Facilitate ongoing medical education and advocacy talks on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) with learners at each school, aspiring towards achieving the maximum information coverage and holistic SRH understanding in the learner population.
    • Facilitate medical education and advocacy talks on Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) in advocacy workshops with parents at each school, aspiring towards maximum information coverage and acceptance and understanding of the Imagine Programme.
    • Provide scientifically accurate information on sexual and reproductive health products and services & explain the process of accessing those products and services in a simple way.  
    • Provide detailed education on sexual reproductive health services to clients. Including the step-by-step processes involved in prevention, treatment and management according to need.
    • Provide Family Planning Advocacy and information on different contraceptive products.
    • Become a consistent source of trusted medical information and help in the school community.
    • Accurately record and capture services rendered to the female learners’ using the digital Imagine Information Management system.
    • Accurately record and capture the female learners’ feedback on their experiences of key services rendered using the digital Imagine Information Management system.
    • Ensure sufficient supplies of clinical products to run the Safe Space clinics on each day.
    • Assist in maintaining good clinic flow through structured planning and coordination with all Imagine staff on a daily basis.
    • Contribute to the development of a smooth service delivery process within the Imagine teams and seamless referrals into Clinic Facilities and or Hospitals.
    • Maintain accurate and well organised client records throughout the programme.
    • Maintain high standards and quality client experiences through ongoing discussion, consent, confidentiality and professionalism.
    • Manage medical waste at School Based Safe Spaces to the highest standards.
    • Assist in liaising with pharmacist regarding supply and management of FPC and STI drugs.

    Requirements

    Required qualifications, skills, and experience.

    • Nursing degree or diploma and current registration with SANC
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in public health and NIMART certificate
    • Dispensing licence preferred
    • Certification/experience in sexual and reproductive health (particularly contraception and STI management); and HIV prevention and management
    • Sound technical knowledge of PEP, PrEP, ARV, TB-HIV integration, treatment and care infectious diseases
    • Knowledge of national, provincial and district health structures
    • A minimum of 4 years community nursing experience.
    • Experience and trained on Sexual Reproductive Health.
    • Experience working in a donor-funded organisation/NGO or project-based environment and desirable to have experience working with schools
    • Knowledge of clinical systems and data management
    • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills together with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    • Valid driver's licence and own vehicle

    Finance Administrator - Century City

    The duties and responsibilities of the Finance Administrator will include, but not limited to:

    • Perform financial administrative functions such as compiling monthly reports and payments.
    • Organize financial data for audits and procurement
    • Process payments and perform procurements tasks.
    • Ensure all accounts are updated.
    • Monitor cash flow and keep records of all transactions
    • Analyze and verify supporting documents
    • Compile reconciliation statements
    • Assist with creditor’s accounts.
    • Perform ad-hoc tasks (occasionally) such as stand-in for colleague or supervisor

    Requirements

    Required qualifications, skills, and experience.

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Auditing or related discipline
    • At least 3 years’ experience in an entry level accounting position.
    • Experience working on accounting / enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
    • Experience working in finance and/or audition, within a non-profit organisation would be advantageous
    • Must have completed SAIPA Articles 
    • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting processes and procedures
    • Good Communication Skills
    • Mathematical Proficiency
    • Good Computer Skills (MS Office Suite)
    • Driver's License (Code B) with no endorsements
