    Event Coordinator - Johannesburg

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Custodian of Rand Waters Corporate Image by identifying, building and maintaining a positive image of Rand Water by planning and implementing corporate events, tours, exhibition and conferences that positively position Rand Water amongst its key customers and stakeholders.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • A matric qualification is essential
    • Must have a drivers licence
    • National Diploma/Degree in Marketing
    • 2-3 years practical event organising experience at a corporate level would be preferred
    • Proven ability to liaise effectively with people of diverse Political and Social backgrounds
    • Computer literate on micro soft word based programmes
    • SAP experience/background

    Primary Duties    

    • Plan and coordinate corporate functions, events [ conferences ,seminars, dinner etc]
    • Meet with clients and design event briefs to the client’s needs
    • Identify, together with the client, all stakeholders [employees and customers] required to participate in the event
    • Develop and identify events that will reinforce the Rand Water brand
    • Implement the approved concept proposal following the agreement on terms and conditions discussed with the client
    • Communicate all the aspects of the event to relevant stakeholders timeously
    • Ensure that any project scope changes follow the formal process
    • Write closure reports after event and present it to the project team to extract learning
    • Maintain all records in a safe manner and easy accessibility for future enquiries
    • Develop and maintain relationships with all stakeholders internal and external and understand their requirements
    • Conduct tours, site visits and Sports related activities
    • Organise orientation programmes for Board Members, PIC members and Rand Water Officials to external venues
    • Capture quotes from approved suppliers onto the SAP system

    Water Quality Technician - Glenvista

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Rand Water is currently looking a Water Quality Technician to assist in managing all corporate chemical and water quality related issues within Rand Water that affect the quality of the potable water produced

    Minimum Requirements    

    • National Diploma in water care, chemistry or chemical engineering qualification or equivalent
    • Four (4) years’ experience preferably in a water industry
    • Computer literacy in MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel
    • Valid Code 8 drivers licence
    • Experience in the field of water treatment processes would serve as an advantage

    Primary Duties    

    • Participate in scheduling of chemical procurement, writing contract specifications and adjudication of contracts.
    • Management of bulk chemical contracts.
    • Participate in the drafting of the chemical budget and monthly variance reports.
    • Participate in managing water quality data affecting long-term variables by statistics/trending/reporting and identifying areas of concern with relation to water quality.
    • Managing data and investigating possible areas of non-compliance to specifications.
    • Take water samples in special projects and evaluate data.
    • Taking minutes of technical and supplier liaison meetings.

    Knowledge
