    Full Status Rental Agent - Sedgefield

    Main Purpose of the Job    

    • We are excited to extend our services into the rental market and are looking for experienced Residential Rental Agents to join our growing team. Covering the entire Sedgefield area, there are a wide range of properties and people to deal with. Bring your passion, energy, property interest and people skills and join our dynamic office.
    • Applicants must have a valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle as well as their own laptop.  Preference will be given to candidates who live in the Sedgefield area.
    • Must be able to sustain yourself financially for at least 6 to 8 months before you start earning commission.

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Canvassing and listing new rental stock; building relationships with homeowners while maintaining database; ensuring that mandates are serviced professionally at all times
    • Prompt response to tenant enquiries; conducting tenant viewings; answering their questions relating to the property and area; processing lease applications
    • Negotiating and preparing leases between landlords and tenants
    • Be the contact point for all landlords and tenants within your managed property portfolio, in terms of payment follow ups, queries, maintenance issues, administration and accounting, etc
    • Performing comprehensive ingoing and outgoing inspections at commencement and expiry of lease
    • Arranging & negotiating with contractors for repairs & maintenance when needed
    • Able to knowledgably advise Landlords & Tenants, sellers and buyers

    Education & Experience    

    • Matric qualification
    • Completion of a NQF4 Further Education and Training Certificate in Real Estate with a Services SETA (SSETA) accredited training provider
    • Completion of a Professional Designation Examination (PDE), conducted by the EAAB
    • Be responsible for registration fees with the PPRA
    • Registration with the PPRA (Property Practitioner’s Regulatory Authority) is compulsory
    • Valid Fidelity Fund Certificate and up to date with CPD and PDE requirements however an intern would be considered

    Knowledge & Skills Required    

    • Excellent verbal and written communication
    • Must be digitally savvy and comfortable doing business with your mobile phone or device
    • Computer literate with sound knowledge of the Microsoft suite
    • Knowledge of rental property management integrated software (e.g. PayProp)

    Fully Qualified Estate Agent - Sedgefield

    Main Purpose of the Job

    • The role is about the successful marketing and selling of property and continued growth of market share, whilst providing excellent customer service to ensure that the Pam Golding Properties brand ethos is upheld.  Applicants must have a valid driver’s licence and their own reliable vehicle. Preference will be given to candidates who live in Sedgefield.

    Key Responsibilities    
    (Residential Sales)

    • Collecting information about properties (lead generation)
    • Canvassing properties to sell
    • Arranging for photography and home staging
    • Visit sellers and must be able to talk knowledgably about their property and area
    • Evaluation / Market assessments – able to apply sound principles when estimating the value of a property
    • Organise and attend show days
    • Able to put together a marketing plan for a property
    • Represent the seller in negotiations with potential buyers
    • Monitor sales and liaise with all stakeholders including mortgage brokers, conveyancers and other estate agents
    • Able to knowledgably advise sellers and buyers
    • Keeping up to date with trends in the local residential property market as well as the general market

    Accountant - City Bowl, Cape Town

    Main Purpose of the Job    

    • Pam Golding Property Management Services (Pty) Ltd is urgently looking for an Accountant who will be responsible for all financial recording and reporting, for the Bodies Corporate and Home Owners’ Associations managed by the company. The successful candidate will be involved in the full accounting function, conducted with reference to the rules and regulations of community schemes and real estate. Responsibilities will be focused on administration, accounting, consolidation, full bookkeeping competency, debtors, creditors, treasury, cashbook, budgets and management accounts. Position is based in City Centre, Cape Town.
    • Priority will be given to candidates who are available immediately.

    Key Responsibilities    

    • Prepare monthly ZAR consolidated management reports.
    • Review and authorise payment requisitions and ensure that expenses incurred are charged accordingly.
    • Review and authorise monthly cashbook and balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Analyse general ledger to ensure correct allocations.
    • Prepare journal entries to be processed.
    • Analyse variances between actual expenses and budgeted expenses.
    • Authorise internet banking payments.
    • Assist with the preparation and submission of VAT returns where applicable.

    Education & Experience

    • Accounting degree or Diploma.
    • 3 or more years working experience with exposure in a full bookkeeping role up to final TB.
    • Driver’s license & reliable transport.
    • SARS E-Filing
    • PASTEL
    • VIP payroll experience is an added advantage.

    Knowledge & Skills Required    

    • Knowledge of MDA Property Manager is an added advantage.
    • Strong technical financial accounting and management reporting skills.
